Our We Aloud To Raffe From Our Own Groups
I know you can't raffle in discussions but can you raffle in your groups if you are the group leader.

Raffling is a type of gambling so technically no, but they don't moderate that stuff so you would have to be reported to be caught.

as long as all traffic is kept in the group and externals do not get unsolicited involved, sure you can do raffles.

stuff like "invite 10 people to participate in this raffle", no no no.

AFAIK raffles are prohibited in many venues. I know they are in the state I live in the US and probably other places throughout the world.

You may be able to hold a contest, not sure on that though.

The difference between a raffle (aka lottery) and a contest is that the raffle is not based on skill. You can create a "contest" that is based on performance that would take away elements of the raffle.

as long as it is not a paid raffle as well.

I don't think it's gambling if you don't pay money for entry though right.

A raffle is a gambling competition in which people obtain numbered tickets, each ticket having the chance of winning a prize. At a set time, the winners are drawn at random from a container/prgram holding a copy of every number.
tax law has it written as gambling

you legit NEED a gamble licence to hold raffles.

Raffle means you all buy a ticket and 1 person wins but the house always wins. On steam that's called a scam and is reportable.

I'm talking gifting them a popular title like Sekiro for posting about us on twitter or insta with a hashtag or something have a bot parse the tagged posts and randomly select five people to win.

you legit NEED a gamble licence to hold raffles. ( same reason pubg and csgo have them for the crates they sell ) reguardless of cost you can be reported and probably banned. as steam holds a tight connection with the us tax service since 2 years ago...and heavy on the gambling laws. good luck .

you legit NEED a gamble licence to hold raffles. regardless of cost you can be reported and probably banned.
Well then technically what I described is more of a giveaway than a raffle though and therefore not gambling

well you need to hold that giveaway OFF of steam. and not link it through it... get it? you can raffel things on your youttube or social media site any time for game codes here.. but you can not do that here on any forum. being private or open.

The description states you must pay for your entry to make it a raffle other wise you are simply giving things away.

You dont use a bot for that you use legit sites that can verify the prize and winner so you dont scam people.

Run it from here, its for instagram/twitter etc.
