The good old days of needing this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 'Steam' thing just to play Half Life 2 and having to download necessary files on my 56k dial up. Good times.

Looks better now. But most everything else has been downhill.
I think the lighter color of old Steam is better than this darker color anyway.

ah yes, memories i was on steam in 2003, im a old cs player i do remember when cs 1.5[won] was phasing out for cs 1.6 we had to move to steam. steam was better in 2003/2004/2005 best years of my gaming life. i was 12 when i made my account now 28 hehe..

Good old times? It's gone downhill? What?
Everyone hated steam back then and we all called it a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.
It was annoying and a resource hog, and completely changed the way we installed games.
Steam has massively improved since then and is better than any other PC service of any kind.
Someones memories have clearly altered into being better than it actually was.

Steam was a massive POS back then. It couldn't even save your friends list; it generally deleted them every time you closed STEAM out.

These days? I don't mind steam at all. Back then? Total nightmare. I personally never saw steam becoming anything useful, but.. look what happened.

Well I can't speak for anyone who's had it since 2003, but I've had it since 2010, and I think the 2010 client would work fine today, barring some minor feature changes.

But regardless of the client version, I ALSO think that the client would benefit from having this olive green color rather than the black/dark-blue color it's currently using as its theme color. This olive green is far less dark.

Oh the memories, CS on dial up and forced dropouts from your ISP at least once a day.

Now people complain about 50 ping, lmao.

I remember being thrilled having below 100! Man, I feel old.
absolutely different
Would have loved to see the picture but since you chose to upload it somewhere ELSE other than Steam, I won't bother to click links that lead outside Steam.
