Steam Get Rid of the POPUP's.
I've stopped using your store page already because there is complete junk on it and i can never find any good games in catagories anymore because these indie crap developers list there games under every catagory and then some!

Now i have my client set to enter my game library and now you bombard me with popup's, thats not real fair considering i've been a customer for near 10 years now and have purchased hunderds of games and im a frequent customer, where are my rights too no POPUP's on my service, they crash my games when you decide to change the store front or when sales are on because your friggin sending me popups everytime i load into the client or every few hours. This is like old school internet before popup blockers got rid of this crap.

WHY HAVE YOU FACEHACK PEOPLE BROUGHT IT TOO THIS SERVICE YOU DOGS!

Life is pain. And it's Steam here xD

Do you mean the news pop-ups? You can turn them of in the Steam Settings, I believe it's under Interface.

Yeah kinda ♥♥♥♥♥ me now, i have an extensive library that gets alot of use and all i get now from this client is popup's. If you get a game crash, i can bet its a steam popup because soon as you restart the client a popup has flashed before my eyes, then takes 5 restarts of steam now to get rid of a line of popup's and they pipe these down every few hours now. :pooangry:

I need my notifications for all my games when they update, that shouldn't be part of the advertising of popups. I have so many games and dlc i need to keep them updated, the popup's of these new releases is within this checked box.

you have malware on your machine. Steam has 1 popup and it only shows up on launch and it can be disabled. constant popups are a sign your machine is infected. Use malwarebytes and purge your cache.

the news popup only happens on client start and you can disable it.
you demanded to see this.

there are no other popups. if so then you have malware or something.

I only get a pop-up when I start the Steam client. Only other pop-up I get is when Steam wants to update itself.
This hasn't changed in the past years.

How does the steam client run malware, its a secure acount locked via a tumbler under a series of emails.. if its malware its coming from the client because i don't use any other programs other then internet explorer provided with windows, and i barly use that now days considering these goverment dogs track everything you do.
Who knows where you got it but you didn't get it "from" steam. Steam uses a browser and is just as subject to malware as windows default browser (well no, thats actually way more vulnerable)

These are steams advertising, not any other. they are games on sale on steam at the current time.

You have the :Notify me about additions or changes to my games, new releases and upcomming releases. Do you mean uncheck this box to remove the popups? and if so will that effect my other games updating to current upto date files.

^This.

On Steam client, click on Steam top left side of the client, click on settings from the drop box, in the new box that pop up, click on interface tab, now uncheck the box for "notify me about additional or changes to my games, new releases, and upcoming releases." now press ok, and you won't get news popup box from Steam.

https://imgur.com/xppjL84 <-- This only pop up you should be getting when you start Steam.

You can fix the problem, as I've told you, or not. It really doesn't bug me one way or the other. Steam doesn't have advertisement popups, period. It's not a part of the program. Period. Your machine is infected and you've been given instructions on how to fix it. Period.

Games will update. The patches and such have nothing to do with the popups.

Do check the edited post of Dr.Shadowds for the second picture.

As stated before, you only get a popup when you start Steam. If you get more pop-ups, please run a malwarecheck.
