Why are Sacks of Gems so cheap?

They are normally around 50 cents per sack, but now they are around 30 cents. Why? Is it becaues of the sale going on?

Sort of. A lot of people are gemming the items they get for crafting the sale badge and/or opening the advent calendar, which drives up the supply. Increase supply and keep demand constant, and you get lower prices.

Probably, the stuff you can get from opening doors of the Extremely Cozy Cottage seem to be convertible to 100 gems each, which means you can get a bunch of gems for free.

A sudden increase in supply like that is inevitably going to put downward pressure on the price.

Every event will see them drop a bit. It goes back up afterwards, yes. So, in Feb.

If you're lucky to be an owner of the few games that have booster packs cost less than 1000 gems to craft and sell on the market for more than the sack of gems does, do that instead, though I noticed some of the booster packs I used to reliably use to dump my gems have also dropped in price recently.

will take a while and i dont think the price will recover to 50~ish cent. that additional surge of supply should have nuked the price down min. 10 cents permanently.
