Dota 2

Is Dota 2 is ruining valve games?
So I know I will get tones of♥♥♥♥♥♥for this but hear me out. I have noticed that ever since dota 2 became a successful Esports valve really haven't given a ♥♥♥♥ about any of their other games (tf2,csgo,etc) is it just me or is all of their efforts, going to dota 2 and the dota 2 Esports league. I don't hate dota 2 I'm just getting annoyed at valve, I mean it took them 2 years to add a new weapon to csgo, and they have stopped putting skin descriptions of their skins. Now don't even get me started on tf2 updates both games are getting less and less content while dota 2 still gets regular updates. (Post your opinions down below)

At least 5 new games are being worked on and big shock games that people aren't as interested in or that need less content get less content.

The thing is people are still interested in tf2 and csgo especially csgo, plus the last time valve announced new game....well....you know what happened. One more thing is no these games deserve more content poeple are losing interest because are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lazy.

TF2 is an old game and most of the proper developement staff have long left the company. CSGO is making a bucketload of money so there's no need to them to add anything substantially new. Valve are not the same company they once were - they aren't and out and out developer and haven't been for a long time. They are a major business now but they still have a few new and upcoming software projects on the way.

DOTA 2 is a very popular and current game so it's obvious why they are dedicating a lot of resources to it.

Deserve is not the same as need. There isn't much else they can add to CSGO that isn't just a cosmetic alteration as what they already have covers so many different types of weapons or map configurations.

Just look at Payday 2 and all the weapons they made for it and how many of them ended up so identical stat-wise that they are basically just alternate skins that only matter for picking which one you like the look of or gets you achievements. Or the COD series which regularly puts new textures on old maps and sells them as new ones.

More is not always better.

Your perception is rather flawed. TF2 gets regular new modes added. CS:GO is constantly being tweaked and valve has 5 more games on the horizon All new IPs so... yeah. DOta 2 is always getting because it is a competitive multiplayer game with many, many inter connecting parts. Each hero, each skill, every item, they constantly have to be balanced.

Alot of my steam and real friends have been chatting about, is more better and really, yes it is. It feels lazy when devs just add reskins, thats why people hated the tf2 invasion update all of the new weapons were just reskins, and nobody like it. People wanted new weapons not reskins, of old ones.

and the truth is tf2 is also making valve a boatload of money off the steam market it deserves better the people who play tf2 and csgo deserve better, I mean there are the consumers and they have the right to demand more for their products.

And business should make their consumers happy, and you know what I'm not happy.

Millions of players that still play TF2 are happy. The game is still thriving and making more money than ever even after a decade. If you don't like it, play something else. Their Source 2 and VR titles are more important now and that's where their time and resources are prioritised. They don't want cry babies in a few years time moaning that Valve are still milking ancient titles.

That's fairly recent given how long it actually takes to develop something. Creating good game-modes and maps takes a bit of time and fine tuning. IT's not just throwing together a bunch hapazard maps.

Businesses have one prioority. Making a profit and sometimes that means pissing off your customers for the greater good. To put it another way. Do you sink resources into games that are quuite oild or do you focus more on the newer stuff?

They used to release huge updates like mvm multiple times a year, if they don't have enough devs the they should get more, but valve doesn't care that's the problem, I don't want to wait another nearly 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years for an update that isn't even worth it. Don't defend laziness, we deserve better.
Only balance and maps important. Skins are not important.

Well no..people aren't happy, that's why there is so much community outcry, there have been so many youtubers making videos complaining, (FUNKe,Uncle Dane,Aar etc) and all these youtubers videos, have gotten tones of support and likes. So no poeple aren't happy that's why I made this steam discussion, because like it or not I'm part of this community and I can tell, me and most of the player base right now, aren't happy with tf2 and we want more attention, and effort put in by valve. Secondly ♥♥♥♥ off with your ancient crap, tf2 needs be treated better than this, same with csgo and other valve titles stop defending laziness. Valve have enough ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money to hire a couple more devs, are you really going to sit there and defend valve..VAVLE a multi million dollar company. Stop giving them excuses and demand more, people like you are the reason that valve don't give one ♥♥♥♥ anymore. Valve have ruined steam ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over most of there games, and they people like you defending them. WHY? stop defending them. Rant over I still like valve and most of their games, but when I see laziness I just have to call it out I don't want another EA or Ubisoft. So please don't defend valve anymore. PS there is only like 80,000 people playing not millions.
