The UI is now unchangeable for you? I can still change it when not opted into the beta.
Its not
Its going to go away whether you like it or not.
You can either whine about it like children
Or make constructive feedback which steam is moer than willing to consider
What they aer not considering is making the old UI permanently available.
A bunch of other games and websites have added legacy options looooooong before and looooooong after Steam, they would lose nothing if they added one now.
Let me state this PERFECTLY clear for your mind to comprehend. I am NOT deluding myself on anything. Ever since the update, the UI has been CLUNKY, BROKEN, LAGGY, CONSTANTLY CRASHING, UNTIDY, and even has some features about it that CANNOT BE DISABLED, such as how it categorizes your friends by what games they're playing. YES. It brings pluses, buddy. It does. But at the cost of so much headache. Not when the bad outweigh the good.
THAT'S everyone's "constructive criticism" that you appearantly can't see because your head is so far up your ass. Google this topic from the perspective of someone who doesn't like the UI and just take a look at how many things come up. A significant number of people don't like this- majority or not. We are allowed to say that we don't like it and we want an option of a legacy available. Steam literally forces this on me. I'm allowed to say I don't want it. Supporting the inferior version of something is outright idiotic.
That being said, since you care so much about maturity, how about you seek yourself out of this discussion and don't leave comments here- since this doesn't concern you at all:
a) you're not a developer
b) you like the UI.
And learn how to type and THINK before you ever post on the discussions ever again for the sake of your dignity.
.....♥♥♥♥ me I don't think he'll recover from that.
You can either keep whining and stick your head in the sand pretending thats not going to happen
Or you can make suggestions as to what you'd like to see as improvements
Whining 'the old ui stopped working' is useless
They've given specific examples as to why it's bad...
Not once have i experienced crashing or any of the issues that you've described.
Local cache issues can occur and can be fixed by simply clearing Steam's web cache.
That is isn't the same as "broken".
The game categorization for friends can be disabled using the settings in the COG icon.
Steam and its services are subject to constant UI changes.
The chat was once in a beta and now it is live.
All the feedback was considered by the developers during that time-period and NOTE, they are still considering feedback.
Feel free to use the Steam Chat beta sub-forum.
A & B - I wouldn't make those assumptions if i were you... ;)
My fault for expecting a weeb to put up a proper post. Calling me a whiner for expressing my criticism and then telling me to express my criticism in the same few sentences. The entire point of the post is to ask for a legacy edition once they decide they're going to make this 100% forced. To "prevent its death", as you'd understand. You watch too much anime. I don't know what birth defects you have, but I'm not going to respond to you any longer because you type the same exact things over and over.
So, first, you say you haven't experienced the same issues as me (which appearantly is appearantly the only thing you need to dismiss everything said), then you proceed to offer me technical advice not knowing what issues I'm having?
Amazing! Do you see your logical fault there? There are several.
As for the game categorization, I've managed to switch back to the old UI once more, and I am actively avoiding the new one. The last time I checked that option didn't exist, and if it does now, that is my bad.
"The chat was once in a beta and now it is live.

Yes. That's the point. It's live, and down my throat now- and I'm typing out that I don't want it. And I am voicing my feedback now.
I don't understand why people feel the need to leave these bits in their posts.
Also, I highly doubt you're one of Valve's 7 employees. If you are by some miracle, well here's your feedback then.
I'm not replying on this post any further, none of what anybody says makes a tiny bit of sense. The main point I've made is clear.
maybe because of his support bubble that you represent he likes to talk for "everyone".
Steam has 900 million registered accounts, close to 50 million daily active users.
how many of them do you see here babyraging about the new ui? not many, right?
that might be devastating for you and him but that is not the new ui ... that is just the chat.
i hope you guys will be ok when they release the rest of the ui.
I was just saying they reffering to them, and they did give examples. The crashes the bugs, I've had and continued to have problems with it, as do others that have posted, and I still have problems. You can't just say "Oh the majority don't have problems therefore there isn't one".
Is the issue that you don't enjoy it? My advice to you would be to suck it up buttercup. Its here to stay.
If its not working for you for some technical reason, try sending feedback to steam, contact support. Something with a little more substance then OMGH U GIAES CHENGE SUX AH DUN LEIK ET
