Help creating very simple Steam Input script

I just learned about Steam Input from the news page. Great idea, and it could easily solve my biggest annoyance with my current favourite game, Gems of War.

I could spend a long time learning all about how Steam Input works, Googling documentation and discussions (very sparse, it seems), but I think it would be far more efficient to ask on the forums. Not sure of the best forum, so here will have to do.

What I would like is a Steam Input script that assigns the near thumb button on my mouse to be interpreted by Gems of War as hitting the Esc key. That's it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

not possible. it maps inputs for controllers, not for a mouse. you can turn a controller into mouse/keyboard, not the otherway around.

use something like autohotkey to do what you wanna do

Thanks for explaining. I thought it applied to all input devices. I'll look up autohotkey. :)
