Steam Community ID

For some reason, I can't change my community ID. I go to my profile, attempt to edit it, then save the changes, but they don't stick -- it just keeps reverting back to what it was originally. I've been able to change it without issue in the recent past, so not really sure what changed.

You HAVE to select all and delete because the invisible Unicode character is what is screwing it up. I got the same issue 3 months ago.

There is a cooldown for changing your name.

After you've changed your name 5 subsequent times, you receive the cool down.

Once you wait for 1-2 minutes and try again, it'll change it again.

Same process if you did the initial name changes in succession (5 times).

Note that this does not apply to your CUSTOM URL (ID).

If it is the case that you need only wait a few minutes, then something is obviously wrong here. I've waited nearly 24 hours to no avail.

Are you unable to change name, or are you unable to change profile URL? Just to clarify.

I've tested it multiple times on an alternate account.

It doesn't seem as if your initial issue pertains to the cooldown.

Not quite sure what's the issue there.
