get it there, gog does not really care if they break any youth-protection law in some random country.
That is not the same as other versions being indexed.
There is just a version the developer made.
That way gog does not break anything.
Also, the versions are identical if you change some settings.
the game developer/publisher entered a targeted version for this to the USK, it got rated and passed onto the market and with that this version can no longer be indexed but this does not allow the developer/publisher to sell an altered version of it that would infringe the age rating conducts that were applied to the product by the USK.
would be a bit illogical if you give the USK kittens and puppies for the review and then sell bloodleeching monsters instead and no one would give a f, wouldn't it be?
no one acting on this matter does not make it legal. gog does break the german law, they have to prevent in Germany residing people from even seeing the "uncut" version or advertise and sell them the USK 16 version that was rated.
it does also not matter how easy it is to revert the changes that were done for the version that got the USK rating.
If you look for a game version on the index, and it isnt there, its not on the index.
Also, its not about the german people. Only criminal relevant banned things are to be kept away. Youth protection only determines the public accessibility that would affect under age people.
It's free as part of the 20 year anniversary celebration./ And for the most part, Unreal's Multiplayer died pretty fast once Unreal tournament came out.
