Steam's "Remote Play Together" Feature: Issue Discussion
While trying to join a friend's Host computer through the Remote Play Together feature, I experienced almost identical failed attempts to join two separate (supported) games. From the first invite, I got a black screen (and Remote Play's loading symbol) with an error message soon after, reading something like "Failed to join Host computer". A second attempt gave the same result, except it added Remote Play's background that diagonally displays the game banner across the entire screen, repeatedly. With the third attempt there was sound, but entirely of an odd cackling noise. I transitioned from the first screen into Remote Play's "Please Stand by" screen that appeared in a very low resolution. Sound eventually disappeared, and my cursor vanished as well, so I closed out. Reattempts lead to what seemed like small incremental improvements, but still nothing relevant to actually accessing the game. After many (around 6) attempts later, I posited that the bottom-right symbol, having for the first time turned yellow instead of what before had always been red, likely stood for the quality of my connection. I did once make it to the game screen, but it essentially only ever acted as a photo, displaying the Host's steam notification that I had joined his session, up until I closed out. Perhaps this was an issue with the Host's upload speed, since as I'm writing this I just learned that his upload speed is well below 10 Mbps (you can test yours for free online). Although, I have an upload speed of around 23 Mbps and not only did his attempts to join fail, but he never managed to see even the sign of a game screen in the nine invites he accepted from me (the game is supported: Bloody Trapland 2: Curiosity). In both attempts to join a hosted game and host a game, I toggled "enable hardware coding" on and off to no success. This is the extent of recommendations made when trying to troubleshoot the issue (and it's not even clear whether the suggestion is actually intended for Remote Play Together, or the local option, but apparently irrelevant here). We were short on time so no more testing has been done, except that the Host I tried connecting to was able to connect to a different Host with seamless compatibility at 1080p (Soulcalibur 5, I think). I'm not so sure what to interpret about this just yet.

Perhaps others relate to this issue and a resolution can be brainstormed/located below.

Remove their keyboard & mouse control leaving only the gamepad control.
I do not get it.
Goat simulator for example is a remote with friends game.
But it is a single player game.
How should that work? Or is it like hotseat, and only one can play?
