HELP: Black screen whenever I try to change resolution to 1440x1080 in csgo

Hi, so I did a custom resolution for 1440x1080 for csgo and now I see it in my video settings but everytime I put in on my game black screen and its like im in the game but its just a black screen even tho I can hear the game

still does the same thing even when I put it in launch option... the game is open but can't see inside the game just leaves me in my desktop

you screen also has to support that resolution and it probably doesn't.

My screen was not supporting that resolution

Tried it too with 1440x1080 on my gaming laptop, it loaded bt was completely black and i could still hear my cursor making contact with different interface buttons in tha game. It works for aim lab, splitgate and other games i play but cs:go just has to be the outlier

I found a solution of sorts for this, try changing your PC resolution to 1440x1080 before launching CSGO, this worked for me.
But I do remember, there was a time when it used to work even with the 1920 X 1080 on system resolution and 1440 X 1080 in CSGO, don't know why it doesn't work anymore.
