Link filter?
Just wondering why 4channel image links are being filtered? Revenge attack from neogaf fanboys on the dev team? Simple mistake that will be rectified?

because they were used maliciously, they will not be unblocked.

How is linking an image a malicious use? Serious question would like a serious answer instead of canned answer you pulled out of nowhere
embedding. If you need more information please consult with the education establishment of your choice.

Where is the proofs? Seems more like it's part of the internal left-right poltical struggle going on at Valve to me, that or a rogue dev/steam community volunteer ( if they even have that kind of clout? doubt it ) trying to force their morals and values on a community of millions
The proof is held by the people responsible for the link filter, none of which they need to justify to your personally and for the rest of us who already got an education we don't need to see it because we already understand how it can be used maliciously and why it was banned. game devs have no access to the link filter only the community moderators and the people who actually work for valve do.

Add to that that politics are banned from steam entirely and you've given a perfectly good second reason for its removal.

And if there were any parts of it that were getting through the filters then that was an unintentional oversight which has now apparently been corrected.

I suggest you also purchase a dictionary if you think anyone in this thread was backseat moderating. Those words clearly don't mean what you think they mean.

Fail. There is no private chat on Steam. Who says so? You, actually. Go read the terms and conditions you agreed to when you signed up for the account.

playing at semantics and pedantry doesn't impress anyone, it just outs you as insecure and obsessed with imaginary point scoring
He says, somehow not tasting the irony.

Read it and weep. All chat is public. You agreed to that. Stand by your word.

i merely said "private chat" instead of "the steam friend instant messaging chat service" because it was an easier phrase to type, and for those of us without learning difficulties, to understand. i'm sure that thinking you have "won" some major argument makes you feel better, but it was never an argument to begin with
