How many new releases does Steam obtain per day?
Approximately how many instalments come to Steam per day? It most likely depends on the period but is there like an average daily number like around ten to twenty? Sometimes i wonder how such a large library can be managed since it is more than all the other gaming platforms combined.

Steam doesn't need to manage this at all -- the respective publishers are doing the uploads and stuff.
From the figures Steam themselves provided it's approximately seven a day (so 49 a week, 200 a month, 2,400 a year).

we are currently at around 300-500 games per month for the entire last 12 months. so given the minimum, there are an average of 10 games released each day.

Valve still needs to push an OK button for each game. everything else is done by the publisher/dev. storepage, prices, uploading the game, setting up DLCs and so on.

the process of that:

I'm pretty sure I read that last year, more games were released on Steam than in the entire 12 years previous put together. I think it may have been a Jim Sterling article and I'm sure that was the gist.

I check on a daily basis (and have completely emptied my queue). I usually see between 5 and about 30 new games a day (in my discovery queue), the average seems to be around 10 or so.

What's it matter when 99% of them are utter and total crap?

Exactly. New PC gamers have to spend their time looking for a needle in a haystack where the needle is a good game, and the haystack is all the crap put out daily on PC. Note to new PC gamers, Youtube is your friend. At least nowadays you can look up any game's gameplay (what you want to search for) to determine it's a game you would be interested in. Me (and all the other old gamers out there) use to have to make a decision from nothing but box art.
