[SOLVED] Worth it?
The -75% sale price is very tempting for basically 3 games in one ..but reviews while overally quite positive consistently mention game breaking bugs, crashes and progression wipes.

EDIT: Also is it playable for KB/M users?

EDIT 2: Gotten the game. Enjoying the nostalgia trip without issues so far :D

Of you encounter issues, there are workarounds

And yes it's kb/m

Personally, I've just encountered 1 issue, and the workaround was easy (limit the frame rate in the game settings)

I bought it today and I'm half way through the first one and I haven't experienced any issues. My PC isnt anything fancy by any means either. Just don't try to push the settings beyond it's console equivalent and you should be fine. Run it @ 60fps it gets a little funky if you turn it up to unlimited. I'm a big fan of the games I've played through them probably a cpl dozen times each over the years and I'm satisfied so take that for what it's worth.

Hmm i might give it a shot then.

When i was younger i played Riptos Rage on my PS1 and Year of the Dragon much later when my PS1 was on its last legs.
Never played 1.
There's some issues and a lot of annoyances mostly by the camera for me, but nothing that'll stop you from enjoying it really. Unless you suffer the crashes I guess, I didn't thankfully.
Yea any crashes or game breaking progression wipes are the biggest concerns of mine.

Second one: disable cloud saves for the game

As you can see on forums, happened to several people yeah

Not to me so far fyi
Just finished Riptos Rage also to 100% it was a little buggy but nothing game breaking. As long as you run them at its native 30 fps youll be fine. havent touched YOTD yet but the other two were fine. a little buggier than the console ports but nothing thats a deal breaker.

30 fps???
I hope that's not true. Cause 30 fps feels uncomfortable to me on my monitor. 60 is the sweet spot for me. 40-50 fluctuations are acceptable. 30~ fps is where i start to get eye strain after a while.

On "Alpine Ridge" stage from Spyro 1, the gates/stairs will become stuck if you use the in game framerate cap at 60/120 frames. So changing to 30fps on that specific stage will make the gate/stair works. But you could also let the framerate at unlimited and use V-Sync to cap the framerate at 60/75 (if your monitor is 60/75Hz), or use your GPU to cap at different framerates until 120, since above 120fps will make Spyro slide on the ground. That way the stair/gate cicle will also work if you wait a few seconds.

Playing the entire trilogy at 60FPS, it seems to work perfectly fine for me except for that one part in Alpine Ridge where having the game run at 60FPS will cause the wall and stairs to not work preventing progression, so you will need to lower the framerate to 30 to get past that part, then switch it back when you get past it. Even more bizarre is that a similar set of stairs appears in Charmed Ridge for Spyro 3 but that works fine at 60FPS.

This is the only game breaking issue I have come across in any of the three games. Other than that it looks and runs excellently on PC. The console versions don't even have a way to run them at 60FPS at all and are locked to 30 even on PS5 and XBOX Series X. :crystaldragon:
Almost at the Alpine Ridge.
So far the game works and plays great.

(Locked to 60 with Vsync)
Hmm idk which area in specific supposed to glitch out but i just did Alpine Ridge 100% on 60 fps without anything abnormal or halting my progression.

So far so good :lunar2019grinningpig:

Sometimes the issues are a little overblown. Sometimes they don't hit you at all. Sometimes you get them all entirely. Yey for random software issues.

Think I remember that one specific issue, was almost at the beginning of the stage and I did get it but going to another stage and coming back later it was gone and the rest was fine.

The game is solid and works so well just make sure don't go beyond 120fps
it mostly works well on my gtx 650 ti boost, with the exception of the vulcano level i spyro 2. though i have stronger hardware to handle that on. i still have the playstation games.
