I found Spyro 2 worse than Spyro 1

Just finished the second game and although the game was enjoyable, i enjoyed way more with the first one. Specially because it was more challenging

When you start Spyro 2 you can notice they have added a lot of tutorial messages. Messages like "Press A on the air to glide" when you are on the 3rd or 4th level lol. If im in this level is because I know that.

The minigames are extremely easy and even the flying levels are very easy. The only part that I found harder was the bosses, specially the second one (gulp?) . The rest in general is very very easy. Spyro the dragon was easy, but this second game is too easy and that wasn't exciting.

I remember those mf with eggs you had to chase on the first game, they were annoying, but in this second game there is nothing like that. There are a pair of chases but way easier. Same for flying levels.


I hope the 3rd game is more like Spyro 1. For the moment, my ranking is:

1- Spyro the dragon
2 - Spyro 2: Ripto's rage

We are very lucky for having such a great trilogy with this pixar graphics and in just one game

Both of these types of levels (as well as riding Pura in Warped) still have you jumping over pits and avoiding hazards just like the regular levels, except you're constantly moving forward kind of like how the boulder levels constantly push you towards the camera, making them variations of the core gameplay.

You need all 150 eggs to the Super Bonus Round level, fight hew again and get the full ending. Even if you don't want to count the Super Bonus Round, you still need 66% of the eggs to get the first ending.

By ending, I meant any form of ending that gives you the credits afterwards, which is what the regular ending does. When just going for that ending, most of Spyro 3's mini-games are fully optional as you can still reach 100 dragon eggs without ever touching the boxing, submarine or skateboarding mini-games. In fact, out of the 146 dragon eggs you can get in order to reach 100, only about 40 of them require the use of extra vehicles or other alternate play styles and even then, you can usually choose which ones you want to do or which ones to skip.

Spyro 1 is one of the most boring games I ever played. Spyro 2 and 3 are huge improvements over 1 in every way.

If I wanted to play a whole bunch of mini-games, I'd play Mario Party. My Nintendo Switch is right there.

When I want to run and glide around as a wyrmling; being trapped inside a Trolley until I beat an arbitrary mini-game is Tedious and Unfun. Not sure why honesty bothers you so much.

The thing is that I don't WANT to play Skateboard or Hockey or Go-Karts what ever. I want to play Spyro the Dragon. And the fact that the developer tries to force me to play something else puts a very bad taste in my mouth that ruins the entire experience. (Especially since you need to 100% the games in order to see the "true" ending)

Yes, they are very easy. In the first game were harder and in other platformers even more. You use to complete them on the first try. They give you a lot of time and space to succeed

There are no go-karts in Spyro. If all you want to do is to go on empty boring levels, kill a bunch of enemies, and collect gems, than play Spyro 1. I like diversity, and interesting gameplay.

Could have fooled me. I'm pretty sure I've seen screenshots of Spyro riding around in a kart and assumed it was from Spyro 3 because that's the point where Insomniac completely lost the plot with the "Random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go!" Half the time you aren't even playing as Spyro in that game.

The more I think about it, the more I see Insomniac selling off Spyro (Apparently because they couldn't figure out how to give Spyro a gun (even though Gulp has 2 of them)) as the best thing that ever happened for the Franchise.

my favorite part is a yeti boxing match. at this point the game is as far away from the core Spyro gameplay as possible. suddenly you play Punch Out, enjoy!

I bet you never even played Spyro 3, yet you run your mouth that it's bad. What do you mean most Spyro games? You do run around and collect stuff while defeating enemies in the entire trilogy. Spyro 1 is the only one that is a boring snore fest without anything interesting going on.
