man spyro 2 is so annoying tbh
its insane how 1 is so much fun and they ruined 2 with useless boring unfun things.

I preferred 2, actually. Had better hub worlds, IMO.

i was actually thinking the opposite tbh. just beat the first one and it's fun but just seemed rather bland. only dialog was with spyro and the dragons you saved. there wasnt even an introduction when you fought gnasty gnorc. he just fought him and beat him and that was it. i just started the second game and right away they introducing new characters and everyone has dialog. Even the fairies who save your progress and its voiced. I prefer helping the characters in the game doing tasks rather than mindless collecting gems and trying to 100% each level.

I'm currently playing through the games right now too and I have to say besides the hover I think 2 is for sure the better game. I love 1, but 2 expands on everything great the first game did while also introducing new features.

Spyro 2 was hands down my favorite in the trilogy. Spyro 1 was ok but too simplistic.

The 2nd one is my favorite. I enjoyed the original when it first came out, Exploring Autumn Plains was the best gaming experience I've had.

Spyro 1 is fun because it's simple and easy to pick up and play.

Spyro 2 is fun, although it's also when they started to experiment and expand the game, so I can understand why not everyone might like it. It has its flaws, but I still enjoy the game.

Now, Spyro 3 on the other hand... So much content creep. If you thought Spyro 2 was full of unfun actives, I can only imagine how you'd feel about 3. Still a good game, mind you, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did they cram a bunch of random stuff in there of varying levels of quality.

The best answer, I think spyro 1 is the best, 2 comes next with new mechanics and ideas, renewing the game, 3 isn't as fun as 1 and didn't innovate as much compared to 2 but that doesn't make it a bad game. :spyro:

I got all the achievements from 1 and 2 and I'm now finishing 3, in short it's one of the best remakes ever made and one of the best games, simple but it has its challenges and has the magic of losing yourself in fun that many games don't have nowadays.

Everyone has different taste. I like the first game, because it is simple and sleek, and a good example of less being more. Then there are people who like 2 and 3 more, because they want cut scenes and mini games, etc.

Donkey Kong Country is similar. I like the first for the exact same reason. 2 introduces a bit more than I want. Some people like 2 though, because it does have more things to do.
in the remake i think spyro 2 is extremely hit and miss, especially the npc designs. The original was probably my favorite of the original 3, played it way more than any other game when it came out

imo, it's the worst entry in the remake. It's fine for one playthrough to see all the cool stuff they did with it but outside of that it feels like a slog. The whole game is missing a lot of what the original delivered and i can't put my finger on it. It's like super mario 64 ds, it's a remake but it somehow is nothing like the original experience.

of the originals i'd say the games best to least best is 2>1>3, but for the remake somehow it's 1>3>2. (don't ask me why but i hated 3 when it came out but i enjoyed it a bunch in the remake.
