This is like saying the only real RPG game is Oregon Trail and people calling Elder Scrolls an RPG are stupid for not calling it an action game. Platforming is inherent to Spyro's gameplay. Collecting a ton of stuff is also inherent to Crash Bandicoot's gameplay. Both could be considered both. No one is stupid for referring to either one either way. Language nazi's are idiots though.
People gotta stop this insane "violence/hate is ok under these circumstances" kind of thinking that's spreading. That ♥♥♥♥ is how mass murder and genocide happens when enough people are living life thinking that way.
Ps. Spyro is a platformer, it has platformer elements in it.
But all this kind of went offshore from the OP question :P
In Reignited, all 3 have the same gameplay, while on PS 1st one was more 'rigid'
1st has no real NPC outside balloonists, no 'quest', just pure navigation/collection, but that's how it all started :)
