Easy mode? Is there one?
I would like to buy this game but really only want to buy games that have an easier, relaxed mode. Does this game offer anything like that?
Thanks
Mark

Also, some recommendations:

If you are going to play the game at 60/75 frames per second, I suggest you to set the framerate to Unlimited and turn on V-Sync (or use your video card or even Rivatunner Statistics Server) for limiting the framerate to 60/75. Since the stairs/wall on Alpine Ridge stage (Spyro 1) will become stuck if you use the in game FPS cap for 50/60/120 frames, and maybe more problems occurs.

If your PC is capable to run the game at even more frames, set to unlimited with V-Sync OFF and cap the framerate to 120 fps with your video card or RTSS, since Spyro can slide at framerates above 120fps.

Also, for some people the collection has some problems with save file deleting progress or corrupting game habilities when you go offline, so I recommend to manually do a back up of your save file (FalconSave.106.sav) each time you will stop playing just in case:

- Steam save folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\996580\remote\Falcon\Saved\SaveGames
- AppData save folder (this is a hidden folder):
C:\Users\<WINDOWS USER>\AppData\Local\Falcon\Saved\SaveGames

I'd recommend Spyro 1. It really is a relaxing, stress-free experience. 2 and 3 may be more difficult but you don't absolutely HAVE to complete it 100% if you don't want to, so you can do the minigames and levels you want to do.

Thank you both @kellalizard and @Kaed✩Wolf,
I am enjoying the game, and by and large it hasn't been difficult, but suddenly I've got to one "little thing" I have to do which I have tried 100x... and am thinking of giving up as I am sure there will be a lot more things at this sort of level as the game progresses... see this... ALL I have to do is run, jump glide, turn to get on a new platform, and succeeded only once out of so many tries... very frustrating, I'm obviously not great at this. See me screwing up repeatedly: https://youtu.be/265bXcnKmHQ

Keep in mind that Spyro has a smaller and a higher jump depending on how much time you hold the jump button. And remember start to glide only at the maximum height of your jump. And by your video, I think you are turning right a little too late sometimes, so you are losing time in air going forward and when you make the turn to the right, Spyro cannot make it to the other ground. I recorder a video showing these tips:

Also worth mentioning that if you are running short of lives, there's a code that bring you 99 lives every time you need it (and it works in all three games). To make it work just pause the game, and while at the pause screen do these commands:

If you are playing with mouse and keyboard, press: 3,1,3,1,W,W,W,W, LEFT MOUSE.

If you are playing with a PlayStation controller, press: R2, L2, R2, L2, Up, Up, Up, Up, Circle.

If you are playing with a Xbox controller, press: RT, LT, RT, LT, Up, Up, Up, Up, B.

Funnily enough, the PS1 version of Spyro 3 actually had a dynamic difficulty feature that made the game easier or harder depending on how well you were playing, with the easy mode being active whenever you're not doing very well and will put you on hard mode if you get good at the game. There were also cheat codes to put the game on whatever difficulty you want, whenever you want, which basically acts of a hidden difficulty selection of sorts.

Reignited Trilogy has no such feature whatsoever, though it's not really that much to worry about seeing as all three games are overall pretty easy games for the most part and should still provide a mostly chill experience.
The game in itself is the definition OF easy mode.

I completed Spyro 1 and 2 when I was 7 years old so it's easy by default ( but also fun! :spyro: )

Don't worry. Unless your gaming skill is below that of an IGN or Polygon reviewer you won't have any trouble.
Beyond the fact you can´t change Y-Axis controls while flying/swiming, or having to deal with 2s cringe humor, I don´t think there´s nothing particularly difficult about Spyro games.

OG was, in my memory, harder, due to controls being more tanky than now or the camera having a more limited distance view. But also that could be the fact I was younger when I played the original (only the first, this is my first time playing the second and third. The first was in fact the last platformer I played when the genre short of died for almost a decade until Mario Galaxy came out and revived people´s desire for platformers and all the indie ones came out before older ones started to get remade))

Thanks peeps, yeah ive been doing ok, just some of the jumps are very difficult to get the timing right... thanks for the codes to get more lives, that will help in some of the levels where you have to spend time getting to a point where you constantly fail... 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
