Quick fix is reworking the whole blue prints around the engine I guess, to not be FPS-dependent, so redo, like, everything? heh
As a very common issue that comes up repeatedly, this is what you can do to avoid it from now on.
Use the "unlimited" fps option. Be aware that at 60 fps, Spyro loses dirt particles when charging. When playing somewhere above 120 fps, Spyro can slide across the ground. I have not noticed a slight difference in jump height above 30 fps. If it is there, then it hasn't poorly impacted my gameplay. I have confirmed that the other specific frame rate issues above DO occur, and can happen regardless of the unlimited fps option being used or not. However, the druids with Alpine are an exception, as long as you are using unlimited the fps option and not the in-game frame cap settings.
Here is how to solve these problems:
1. Adjust the in-game frame rate setting to unlimited. If you do this, then you DO NOT need to use 30 fps for this issue (Alpine remains broken using in-game frame cap and the cap selections are limited.)
2. Cap frame rate to 59 fps (or just below 60 fps) to avoid bugs for 60 fps and above (missing dust particles, Spyro sliding, etc.) Some ways you can do that is by using Rivatuner, the Max Frame Rate option in the Nvidia Control Panel, or any other method you prefer. Any way you can cap it there is fine. If you still want higher frame rate and can disregard certain bugs, then "120 fps" as mentioned is fine to use for a cap, but for a different reason. It doesn't cause Spyro to slide across the ground randomly.
3. Enable VSync (externally) or leave VSync disabled (and initially disabled in-game.) In my experience with VSync disabled, Reignited appears to play fine without causing the bugs already mentioned. Only enable it if you're having issues somewhere, such as with screen tear or some odd bug. I am using G-Sync alone.
Follow these steps and your experience should be more consistent. That means you shouldn't have to switch to 30 fps anymore.
While I made my previous post for others as well, you can try those solutions for a fix. I understand that you are playing Spyro on a Steam Deck. Regarding #2, I haven't tried this yet (GOverlay) but assuming you are on the SteamOS still, if you are interested, see if GOverlay works out well for you as a Rivatuner alternative. Although, if you have another method you want to use here, then you can disregard my mention of it.
