Steam deck Cloud issue

Today it happened again. I was playing offline for like 1-2 hourse and when I went online again all my progress was undone. I think it's an issue with Steam deck syncronizing save files for this game. It's really annoying to be honest and I got this problem only with this game. Now I will try unchecking the checkbox for using the cloud saves.

Spyro has this problem on Steam since release. Even if it does not happen to everyone, my suggestion is to make a backup of your save file eveytime before closing the game, just to be safe.

I'm having this issue too, do you know how to backup a save file from the gaming mode of steam deck? It doesn't seem possible... thanks!

On Windows, there is two save file path for Spyro. The file name is FalconSave.106.sav:

- AppData save folder (this is a hidden folder):

C:\Users\<WINDOWS USER>\AppData\Local\Falcon\Saved\SaveGames

- Steam save folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<YOUR STEAM ID>\996580\remote\Falcon\Saved\SaveGames

I've been playing games on the Steam Deck since the initial release and this is the first game that keeps me genuinely frustrated and afraid to just close it down at any given time as it may or may not relaunch. I generally have to try at least half a dozen times. For as long as this game has been available on Steam it's mind boggling that no one has addressed these major issues with it yet.

literally just lost all my progress on spyro 2 because of this. Wish there was an easier way of navigating to game files on the deck
