Controller not working

hi everyone, I'm new on steam and yesterday I bought this game. I tried to play with the keyboard but it's insane so I decided to go with a Joystick and It's not working. It's a joystick I bought on amazon, it's a CSL one. I installed the drivers and it seems it's working from that side. I tried to configurate on steam, on the big picture then check it was fine even on the game and it's still not working. Rebooted the pc countless times and now I'm kinda mad. Do you have any suggestion how to proceed?

First of all: Joystick or Joypad? Because those are two different things.

If you mean a Joystick like a Flight-Stick, I don't know how well this game will work with one of those. Though you could always use the Free-Flight mod and just play the entire game with Spyro flying around.

• in Steam desktop client open "Library" section
  
• right-click on the problem game, click "Properties..." link
  
• open "General" tab
  
• change "Steam input per-game Setting" to "Forced off"

• select "Controller"

• run devmgmt.msc (WinKey + R)
  
• open "Human Interface Devices" group

Ok, i've looked that thing up and it seems to have a PS3 and an XBox mode. You want the XBox mode.
You can switch between those by holding the home button.
