PAL had Super Tondemo Tour music IIRC (good terms?)
When the game originally came out, the soundtrack wasn't quite finished when the game launched, so they had to reuse certain tracks in the final game. In the NTSC Greatest Hits version, this was corrected as that version came out some time after the original release, along with several game breaking bugs being fixed.
The PAL Platinum version, on the other hand, also had the patch the NTSC release got, but without the added music - most likely the reason for it was due to that version having five different languages for both voice and text means they ran out of disc space to fit the rest of the music, so they still had to reuse tracks from other levels.
You'll notice this in other levels in the game too, particularly the speedway levels and all but two Midnight Mountain levels. In fact, the original print runs of the game were so rushed, the final boss actually used the Sunrise Spring music since they didn't have a dedicated final boss theme, which was fixed in later copies of the game.
In short, the reason why the music is different than you may remember is either because you had the PAL version or an early version of the NTSC release, or you downloaded it from PSN on PS3, which was based on the latter.
It sux. The Super Bonus Round track fits a lot better. I never liked the level in the first place, but due to the slow and boring music I now literally hate it.

Basically it's a mod that changes the Classic soundtrack option for Lost Fleet to the PAL Lost Fleet track, i.e. the Super Bonus World music. Just manually download the mod and follow the install instructions. Alternatively sign up the Nexus Mods, download and install their Vortex mod manager and use the Vortex download link for easy download, installation and mod enabling.
The mod author also notes how to do it for the Reignited version of the track but apparently the process isn't easy (like "sifting through hundreds of files" not easy) and they stopped at just the classic version.
