I can't recall if 2 was like this as well, but what I do know is that they aren't nearly as bad on the PS1 original either. At least in Spyro 3's speedways, all the obstacles you need to clear follow a set path so it's impossible to get lost.
It's been many years since I played Spyro 3 but I do remember those races where you had to use stars to get a speed boost. I am NOT looking forward to those.
Nah I think it's my age and slower reaction times lmao. Admittedly I was ranting when I typed this so don't take everything I said here seriously.
I made a few mistakes here and there and still beat them. Not to mention it's a bit harder to stuff up on Spyro 3's speedways due to the fact that all the obstacles follow a linear pattern unlike 1 and 2's.
Or do you mean the races? Because those can get quite tough at times, especially in the original when the dynamic difficulty makes the racing sections a lot harder. Fail three times, however, and the difficulty will go back down making it a bit easier (original only).
I'm trying to clear the normal speedways atm in Spyro 2 and they're literally driving me insane. Yet again just now I've had to stop playing because of frustration. They're just not enjoyable at all and adding to the fact the hitbox for Spyro's fire breath is completely broken too only adds to the frustration even more.
They're not bad as such they're just very cluttered. At least with the Speedways in Spyro 1 they were well designed but in Spyro 2? not so much. Just my opinion on them.
