1) no, if you pickup the game right now you will get the very full content - nothing limited were featured
2) those bugs were fixed and you can 100% every game in that installment. there are few other glitches, like people reported that one or few gems are missed on various levels, but in my case everything worked fine and I beat every game completely - still a word of caution, tho
3) you mean, can you revisit levels, say, from Spyro 1 in Spyro 3? no, sorry, you can't
4) no, they were not added, but in that installment you use Skill Points to unlock art collection, which is nice substitute
5) Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly is not included in that installment (sadly...)
2. I didn't have gem glitch
3. In each Spryro you can replay level as many as you want, nothing is missable (achievement, gems, etc).
4. Do you mean the part where you unlock infinite fire for Spyro 2 ?
5. Dragonfly not included in the trilogy. In the trilogy, you will sometime have to cap fps to 30 for some part because the jumps are a little broken when you don't (not noticeable for 99% of the games but you can't finish Treetop for instance without that).
2. I believe the gem glitches in the OG Year of the Dragon had to do with the dynamic difficulty - playing the game on easy mode makes certain enemies containing gems not show up.
3. Not a single level is permanently closed off - you can revisit them as many times as you want.
4. Sadly no. They were replaced with an art gallery instead. While cool and all, I still vastly prefer the epilogues.
5. Enter the Dragonfly contained a vast amount of bugs, some game breaking, though most of which were presentation related bugs, all due to being rushed out the door long before it was ready.
No, it was an actual epilogue that you could access from the guidebook or atlas after acquiring enough skill points and finishing the game.
Also, the Spooky Swamp glitch means that if you kill a mosquito and it's gem falls into the water, you won't be able to obtain it and will never be able to fully complete the game.
As far as I'm aware, any gem from an enemy that you dont get, should be able to be reaquired by revisiting the level. The only thing that you gotta keep an eye on is one of the skillpoints requiring you to launch three fireworks in one of the beastmakers levels. (I think the Terrace Village level)
And that depends on what you're looking at getting, Enter the Dragonfly, despite its infamous nature, works usually the same as the first 3 (I certainly never had a problem with it.), and A Hero's Tail has a different yet still-finishable collection. The Legend of Spyro trilogy is different from the rest.
Well, answer 1 is both yes and no - in the Reignited Trilogy, physical disc versions require a download for games 2 and 3 which may mean you won't get the complete package in the future; at the moment, however, all three games have all their content just as easily accessible as on launch day. In every other Spyro game (not counting Skylanders), all content is available and always will be in the future.
Answer 3 only applies to the OG and Reignited Trilogies - starting with A Hero's Tail and some of the handheld games, there will be areas you can't go back to once you proceed e.g. every location in the first two Legend of Spyro games.
As for the Spooky Swamp gem glitch, I find it odd that gems falling in the water results in it being unobtainable - I always thought that if a gem falls out of bounds, it's automatically picked up and added to your total instantly, and any gems you don't pick up from enemies or chests should return upon exiting and re-entering the level.
I can't say for sure, since I have never run into this glitch in my over nine full 100% playthroughs of this game.
I'm pretty sure that in the OG Year of the Dragon, the game only auto-saves if you enter or exit a level. Not sure about the Reignited Trilogy, but the game shouldn't save any gems you don't pick up from defeated enemies.
The Legend of Spyro The Eternal Night has several collectibles hidden throughout the game, but due to the fact that every area in that game is inaccessible after progressing, missing even one means having to replay the entire game again just to get it. The other games don't have anything in any of the inaccessible areas.
As for limited time content, all the games can be experienced in their entirety now as they were on launch day, so no, there's no limited time content if that's what you meant.
Hey man I had no isssue at all so I don't understand how anybody else could have one
I have three more questions.
1. What is the complete list of all unrevisitable locations in the Spyro series?
2. Is the Spooky Swamp glitch in Year of the Dragon PAL exclusive? (the Spyro wiki mentions that it is on the Mosquito page, but doesn't specify on the page for the glitch itself.)
3. I've read that some people have extra gems in certain levels (like 601/600 in Fireworks Factory) in Year of the Dragon. Is this a glitch?
