Have they released a single patch for this yet?
It's been months and the physics issues remain... I know there are ways around it but man, they should have fixed this ages ago :/ Can we ever expect a patch or is this it?

Just battled Gulp and he did not disappear. I did have a different bug though. He had 3 orbs of health left when the pterodactyls stopped dropping items so I had to die and fight him again.

I'm almost certain you're getting at least some physics bugs.. how easy is it for you to get out the river in mystic marsh for example? The river with the duck in it?

It was nearly impossible to get out by the duck. There is a rock I stood on next to the lower lip that I could then jump to the lip and get out. It was easier to jump to the small island past the bridge then jump to the lower lip that is in that section of the river.

Well, in my experience, the only significant problem I had (that can't be attributed to the games being built the way they are, I.E. that I really detest how often Spyro 3 gets distracted with stuff to the extent of being a proto-Wrath of Cortex to me) was Gulp.

And also Orbs getting dropped directly onto Ripto, but I'd be astounded if that was a framerate issue and not regular incompetence.

This is nowhere near the level of Wrath of Cortex. For one thing, the vehicles are actually fun to play most of the time, most of them still tie into the core gameplay in some way (on a skateboard you're still collecting gems) and most of the variety is fully optional if you just want to finish it and not fully complete it. Even then, Spyro 3's variety only made up about 1/4 or 1/3 of the entire game, whereas Wrath of Cortex's variety was over 1/2 the game.

This is something I hear way too often in the Spyro community, and even playing this for the first time, I never understood why. Sure, if said variety was boring or frustrating to play (Sonic 2006) I could see why, but with the only exception being the boxing, I never found any of it to be unbearable in any way. If anything, it all plays way better than it has any right to.

This was based on the PS1 version. Some of this variety was made less enjoyable on the Reignited Trilogy due to several factors, but even then, I still had way more fun with, say, skateboard racing than I did Crash 3 Warped's motorbike racing levels. Those are unbearable to play and almost made me not want to see it through to the end, and unlike skateboard racing, the motorbike races are mandatory to finish the game, and that's coming from someone who enjoys racing games!

Those racing skateboards made my existence want to scream itself into a coma while projectile vomiting.

Dam still no patch for that fps bug, iv seen so many mention that alpine ridge bug, you would think devs would fix that at the very least but guess they just wanted the money from pc then ran.

also in spyro 3 it happens when being lifted out of a tube (Enchanted Towers level) and you glitch when landing on the edge of it, once the statue is destroyed and you go down then get lifted up, fps at 30 fixes it but anything higher broke it

then theres some odd clipping issues in many levels or areas where sparx is like nope i dont wont to collect that gem lol

in spyro 1 at start of some levels he flies into orbit, also a glitch

i doubt that even fans will be able to fix any of these with mods

I did everything in the first game and while there are some issues it's nothing to ruin the enjoyment. Not sure about the second or third and how they fare in comparison. I've played a bit of 2 and it was fine up to where I played.

Just sucks that it has these issues at all and that Activision are lazy turds who won't fix it. Makes me glad I got it super cheap from humble monthly.

I suppose i'm quite lucky. I've finished the First Spyro on 120% and about 50% in the second one and haven't experienced a single issue/bug yet.
From reading this chain Gulp apparantly gets buggy for a lot of people, i'ma update after i reach him.

Set your framerate to uncapped and turn on vsync. use an outside program to limit your framerate to 120 if you have a higher framerate than that and stuff is still broken. Don't use the games own framerate limiter. that is what breaks the physics.

I have that issue with the druids in Alpine Ridge. The first one is that the stairs are stick in the climbable position, the second one is the wall that happens you from continueing further was stuck blocking you, and the third one is block of land stuck on the down position. I managed to by pass the second one because I have the free flying mod active.

I seen the Gnorcs holding bags in the Artisans home world getting stuck in their default pose while running from Spyro. It happened multiple times.

I seen a Chicken in Terrence Village and a mushroom in Jacques jumping in and out of the ground.

Most of the bugs I encountered in Spyro Reignited aren't really game breaking. The bug with Alpine Ridge is rather annoying, but it can easily be fixed.

You know what's really weird? The original Year of the Dragon on PS1 had various bugs such as playing the Sunrise Spring Home theme during the final boss, the Spike is Born cutscene not playing whatsoever despite being on the disc (you can still view it using a cheat code), Sparx's speedway descriptions not triggering and most infamously, the speedway egg glitch which, depending on how you play, may make certain eggs unobtainable making 100% completion impossible.

Despite being released at a time before internet or patches were commonplace, these bugs were actually fixed on later prints of the game - the final boss reuses the Spike's Arena theme (which is much more fitting), the Spike is Born cutscene plays exactly as it should, when it should, Sparx's speedway descriptions are now triggered when you enter a speedway giving you more details on the speedway you're in and the speedway egg glitch was also fixed, all of which were major bugs that can cripple the experience.

How was it that the original Year of the Dragon on PS1 in 2000, before it was an industry standard, got patches and fixes to major problems, yet the Reignited Trilogy, despite also having major problems that were reported countless times on these forums, other forums and online in general, never got any bug fixes or patches to fix any of them? (Probably because the originals were made by a talented studio that actually cared about the quality of their games.)

@nbox21, you answered it yourself , back in the days before interenet, devs had to try and make a perfect game or close to perfect,

Now to present day that internet is so huge devs can rush out games, full of bugs and glitches etc and expect us to be happy as they trinkle out a crap tone of patches/hotfixes over the course of a year or more, or worse like we have here where they cant be bothered at all and expect us to keep buying there buggy games

Guess Year of the Dragon on PS1 was way ahead of its time not just in terms of gameplay or graphics, but also technical achievements (patches before the internet). In fact, back in the day, you could even send in your memory card if your save was affected by the speedway glitch and SCEE/SCEA would fix your save for you.

Patches are not meant to complete or finish games that were rushed out to stores - they're meant to fix issues to already complete games for further polish.
