Linux I see. It might be a problem with your NTFS-partition. Try to mount it with these options in .../etc/fstab file:
you can find more info here, https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/4800
more specifically that post, https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/4800#issuecomment-271763278
one way or another but "corrupt update files" has nothing to do with a particular game, but with Steam itself - either its installation is broken and you need to reinstall it, or delete appcache folder, or something is blocking Steam from normal work, or issue with your account (a cool trick - create a blank account, open Steam client, log in, browse Store a little to populate your cache, log off, log in into your primary account - it fixes 80% of all Steam related issues)
not sure about Linux, but Windows version is about 38GB, true
Actually, I don't have an NTFS partition. Most Linux installers default to ext4 for the main partitions. Unfortunately, I don't know much beyond that about partitioning for Linux so, I just stick with defaults.
I've tried both of those. Neither of them worked.
Although, it just occurred to me that I haven't seen what the terminal says about it, if it says anything. Will update, if it says anything beyond the usual stuff.
