Spyro Reignited keeps freezing randomly
I've bought the game today, but I wasn't able to get far, because it keeps freezing in totally random situations.

It doesn't crash, the program still runs, the music is still playing, but everything else just freeze. I have to restart the entire computer, because there is no way to close or to nuke the game with an Alt+F4.

My specs:
Geforce GTX 750 ti
Intel Pentium G3420
10 GB RAM
Win 10

I play on:
Fullscreen
1920x1080
Unlimited Fps
With Vsync on
Motion Blur off
With Vignette on
And with Medium settings

When the game runs fine, I have 50-60 fps.

Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

hello,

I would consider to double-check all background processes first, like antivirus/defenders/firewalls and MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, GeForce Experience. I tend to think one of the process or services might be an issue here

if that is not a case, then check your Nvidia Control Center settings. might be one of the options here is a culprit? for example "vertical sync: fast" crashes Resident Evil 5, while "shader cache: on" drops fps in Saints Row 3/4 significantly. so it might be one of the options handles the game in your case

of course, double-check all related software, most importantly videocard drivers. here is a list what should be installed on your PC to be sure every game has whatever it needs:
(1) DirectX9[www.microsoft.com]
(2) Microsoft Visual C++ 2015[www.microsoft.com]
(3) Microsoft Visual C++ 2010[www.microsoft.com]
(4) Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2[www.microsoft.com]
(5) Microsoft XNA Framework 4.0[www.microsoft.com]
(6) Microsoft XNA Framework 3.1[www.microsoft.com]
(7) Windows Media Codecs[www.microsoft.com]
(8) Microsoft Media Feature Pack[support.microsoft.com]
(9) latest videocard drivers: AMD[www.amd.com] , NVIDIA[www.geforce.com] , INTEL (integrated)[www.intel.com]

Same issue here.

By the way, you don't have to restart the PC, or close the Windows session, if you play in borderless window mode instead of fullscreen mode. Indeed, with borderless window mode, you can press <Ctrl+Shift+Escape> to see the Task Manager and close the game process, which "stopped responding".

Capping the framerate at 30 FPS seems to have fixed the issue.

I think you need a completely new system CPU and GPU etc . . . well yeah obviously!
