The languages of then have no relation to the languages of now. The trilogy was localized many years ago in Multi 5 (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), which were the 5 common languages at that time in games. Now 14 new translations and dubbings have been made from scratch, and it is certainly rare that they do not include Russian.

Игру никто официально не переводил. да и вообще в то время офф локализаций не было в принципе. как и сама игра была пиратской, ничего тогда не было из лецензий только пиратиш практиш .:) вы походу забыли про это.)

I wouldn't bother if my native language which is Dutch wouldn't be available. It's even educative and a good way to improve your English language.

When I got the original Spyro games on PSX, I was 6.

It helped me a lot to understand about english, i was listening to it before I knew it was english.

But how the game was created you knew from the get-go who's the bad guy and who's the good guy. And where to go.

I can get it why "I'm russian and i want russian language" comes from.
But maybe it is time to get more communicative with the rest of the world and do the same as I did as a kid?

Polish was never an option in spyro until now. 20 years. And it was a big success like Crash here. (Even though 99% of copies were pirates)

If there was a translation only into standard European languages, then there would be no questions. And when translated even into Finnish, the population of Finland is 6 million people less than the population of Moscow, it’s not just that there is no money to translate, but the conscious ignoring of the Russian-speaking audience. Therefore, I urge all Russian-speaking players to celebrate this game. The developer does not need us, why should we give them money?

no, i'm pretty sure you'd still complain regardless of whether the localisation included only the 'standard' languages or an expanded set that happened to not include russian

finland is also historically much closer to the west than the east and doesn't tend to throw temper-tantrums when they aren't included in localisations
first, when there is no transfer, this may mean the developer does not have money, when it’s not money that transfers to everything.
second, in your opinion, the translation of games should be carried out on the basis of the country's proximity to the Western world, and not according to purchasing power and audience?

You are a racist and Russophobe. Why shouldn’t I communicate with you?

Hard to deny that. Russia ain't the "god" Country on the gaming community's list.

TL;DR Folderwin's mad on Cyaghea

You can't spell Activi$ion without $

$ = Symbol of west
$ = money
Therefore they do have the cash. There also may be something that stopped them from translating the game, let's say C1, they guys behind translation for fallout new vegas and region locking the game for eastern/central europe countries under Russian version and locking them out of english discussions on steam (Including me)

They may not want to translate it for the cash they offer, or simply activision does not want C1 to pull Bethesda again.
