*PLEASE* Can someone make a mod that gives Spike the glory he has lost?

In the new trilogy is Spike is WAY more easier that it was in the original game. He had more lives, more aggressiveness and more height, but this last one is not that important. Many are still disappointed because TFB nerfed the hardest boss in the originals.

Have you tried the old one on an emulator? I've found it easier but I'm attributing this to me being better than I was when I was 8.
