Breeze Harbor Trolley Broken?

I played through Spyro 2 and got to Breeze Harbor. However, the trolley seems to be impossible because the track itself isn't aligned correctly. I can't collect a few gears due to the cart not on the proper track and even the first switch lane sign doesn't work when the trolley is too far right. Is anyone else having this problem?

I was able to complete this after a few tries because I kept forgetting to jump over the boxes and blow up the TNT, so everything seems to be fine (at least on my end).

I'm having the same issue. I can navigate the track just fine but there are a few gears out of reach because the trolley doesn't follow the track properly.

Had no trouble with this challenge on Reignited, have yet to even fail it.

Here's a hint.
Try holding left or right BEFORE you get to the corner on the track where it splits.

And make sure you shoot the targets with your trolley, so that the track swaps to the other route.

I found it was doing the same, cutting the first corner too tight so I couldn't get the gears. Subsequent attempts seemed to fix the issue, so, not sure what was the cause. That's all I can suggest I'm afraid. It is rather buggy, but it is also completeable, with patience.

An update on the situation:

After a lot of trial and error, I have managed to get 49/50 of the gears. However, one gear is impossible to grab as the track makes me go completely around it with no possible exploits to help guide the cart. A few things i found helpful with the misaligned track is changing lanes at the last second gives more distance, the stop sign at the beginning doest crash but makes you glitch backwards, and if you go through a certain later lane, you cannot switch back to previous lanes.

In this video (of mine lol), could you tell us which gear in particular you are having trouble with collecting? Trouble with Trolley starts at 6:20.

It's your gear #7 and #16. I think it has to do with fps and lag because the successful attempts are all smooth, unlike my game.

Also, to prove it's not user error, you can't move left or right at gear #16; it's just glitched.

Sorry I'm commenting on an old Post, I'm also having trouble with gear #7 and the issue with not being able to return to earlier track lanes 😩

I know it's an old post but if it can help someone ATM... For me, I tried everything and nothing worked. I tried changing FPS, I tried playing with a USB controller instead of playing with the keyboard and nothing seamed to be of any help. I would smash or hold the left or right keys while holding up or down to try to align so I could collect the gears... I was always missing gears #6 and #17. AND THEN I tried to change the resolution, you know out of ideas... And oddly enough, when I switched down to 1280/720, I had it in one shot, the trolley aligned perfectly with the gears... I know... Strange, but Trouble no more for F*ck sake..... I hope this will help some of you!

Also know it's an even older post now, but that was my issue as well. It was impossible to reach gears 7 and 8 until I switched to 1280/720. Super frustrating. I'm on a steam deck fwiw.
