So what is this FPS Issue...
I really want to buy the game on pc but in hearing stories that high FPS is ruining the game. Anybody can elaborate?. Becouse if that's the case I'll just buy PS4 version.

Didn't run into anything, was playing with uncapped FPS and V-sync on. Game isn't that good unless you're nostalgic though, and even then it felt like a mixed bag, so I'd wait for a sale.

Nah in not worried about money I can buy it now. I have a 4 days off work so wanted to play my childhood game. Do you have 60hz monitor? Couse mine is 144hz so turning vsync won't lock my game at 60fps

i have a 1080p 144hz monitor that I've been playing on and basically all ive noticed playing @ 144 is spyro starts sliding in whatever direction you were moving in and stopped. I dropped the refresh rate down to 120hz and vsync'd the framerate to match and that stopped that. there was also this weird thing with the shadow from flame breath being rendered on nearby surfaces with lines through it but i could care less about it and to me it's not really noticable. Honestly i bought the game because i never got to play the first game as a small moneyless child and never finished 2 or the technical 3d games. My impression so far is small bugs aside it appears to be completely playable from start to 100% finish and it has not crashed at all on my desktop or my laptop which is really all i personally care about. Bottom line I guess is ignore the whiners on here and enjoy reliving your childhood memories with improved hardware and graphics.

That's good news I shall give it a go tonight than, ah the memories.

Problem is that if you run at 144fps or uncapped spyto will slide for like half a second when you come to a stop. So i basicly had to cap it to 120fps to not have him slide like that. Is it game breaking? No. Is it overexagerated like every single small issue in any game on steam? Yup.

If money isn't an issue, go ahead, lol. Yeah, I've a 60Hz monitor.

Play on 60fps (or whatever you want). When you encounter animation bugs that prevent you from progressing or are having trouble making jumps (Haunted Towers, etc), switch to 30fps temporarily.

I've noticed some supercharge sections giving you significantly more jump at 30fps compared to 120. Also thieves getting stuck in geometry at 120fps but not 30.

I'm playing at 60 fps using vsync and only noticed a few issues so far, almost all of them being cosmetic and not affecting the game.

The only non-cosmetic one I noticed was not being able to make a long jump (specifically to the island where Jed is located) in Tree Tops unless I drop the fps down to 30. At 60 fps, I would always be very close to making it.

I've noticed that if I run the game at unlimited FPS, Spyro (1st game only not riptos rage so far), will not be able to jump as high as he needs to for some of the higher platforms. I've 100 % completed the game and all I had to do was at those parts (there are very few), change the FPS to 60. The only time I had to change it to 30 was on the Tree Tops level. Hope this helps! Love the game though!

If you're gonna buy the PS4 version, why not buy the PC port and cap the fps at 30? Just like the console ports but with higher graphics

I say Buy It, The Game is Great, Its worth the Money, I already Put 10 Hours into the Game, & I am slightly Above 50% in the Fist Spyro. The true Issue with the game is Controller Support.

I had Intentions to play the game with my Xbox360 Controller, but for some reason, the game picks up my controller, but no buttons work on it. Its a minor setback. With that said I decided to play with the Keyboard & Mouse, as if I had a choice.

Anywho Game plays fine on my end, I cant say that its a FPS issue, but there is sometimes a latency issue, when entering any of the Flight Dungeons, Spyro's Movement is touchy, & can easily throw you off course at random, Something like that can easily cost you the Area, & you would have to start over, I guess what I am saying is the Keyboard & Mouse is not the best when it comes to a race against the clock. Take my word for it.

I got above 50% in the fist Spyro Game, Played enough where I can say that the experience of playing is easier than it was roughly 20 years ago. Back then I thought the game was insanely hard to play, I guess it was because I was still a Runt at the time, during the PS1 version of the game.

Overall its worth the purchase, 7.5-10 If the controller support was there then def 8.5-10

I was going to get Final Fantasy 8 Remastered but I read the Reviews in that game (& lets just say that FF8 Remastered is the Second Final Fantasy Game with mostly Negative Reviews. So I Opt Out of that purchase, To Buy Spyro Re-Ignited Trilogy instead. Im glad to of made this Purchase, & so should anyone else who is having second thoughts on this game.

I know for a fact that this is what a Remastered Game should be about, If you look at FF8 Remastered you'll notice that there was hardly anything that actually got remastered, & the fact that some of the games characters got hit, with censorship,

Infact FF8 Remastered only improved the quality of the characters & left everything else as it is, some said that the game was not even remastered at all. & should of been a Mod Addon/DLC towards the Original Version. . . For a much lower price. . So with that said I avoided that game, & Bought the Spyro Trilogy Instead, Again I am Glad to of made this purchase. . .

Or maybe you just got good at playing videogames instead of being a 10 yo not knowing how to play

Probably need to turn framerate smoothing off.
Homeless. Sep 17, 2019 @ 10:45pm
Had no issues playing on 60 fps
