How do I get this chest open?

I've tried getting those little sparky mages to hit it but it doesn't work, the spell fizzes out before reaching the chest. Any ideas? This is in Magic Crafters.

you need a speedboost from a speedboost pad

Use the supercharge from before the cave, charge all the way through and hit it to break the chest.
