Worst control ever

Okay, guys, what is up with these controls? Never have I played something so bad in that regard. I play with a ps4 controller, Spyro feels like slithering on ice. Also, I usually have to jump first before he even moves his butt after standing still. What is wrong with this?

I'm using a DS4 too, it works without any problems for me.
The only thing i would want to change is the slow camera-speed.

They aren't bad per se but Spyro has some kind of... inertia? I guess?

Hu? Are you sure there isn't a problem with your controller? its working normally for me and nothing like what you're describing? especially the standing still thingie there, try moving with the keyboard to see if hes more snappy, if he is maybe something is wrong with it.

I have a ps4 controller too (MUCH cheaper to buy tbh) and DS4Windows, I never use steams inbuilt DS4 thingies, always caused me problems plus only works on steam games, and I think Steam's flatter itself too much to think that I'll only ever play games on Steam and never on GoG.

I could only test with a XBox360- and a XBox One-controller. They worked both and controls are on point. No problems.

Keyboard controls are extremely responsive for me. No lag at all. If you have problems with the controller _and_ keyboard controls, which both work fine for other users, then there is probably something in your setup that causes the problem.

Try to disconnect all USB devices that you don't need. Also try to disconnect the controller, restart the game, and check if keyboard controls are still laggy. It's possible that a malfunctioning or misinterpreted controller is affecting input latency even when it's not used.

That's the problem, using ds4 windows on a game that is natively compatible with the dualshock is a mistake.

Close DS4windows and play the game normaly you shoudnt haveany issues.

Yeah, using DS4 makes it even worse, as the controls get ultra sensitive and he constantly switches from ps to xbox interface and back.

Edit: I disconnected the controller and every USB device. So the only things are k&m now. Yet the controlls are still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Spyro starts to run on the same place, until I jump or somehow get him off otherwise. I have never seen something like this and I am completely lost on how to fix this. Really destroys a lot of fun...

Edit2: Even checking the installation for bad files did nothing. It found 4 bad files but these were the intro skipping I did...

Edit3: I started Spyro 2 and there the problem doesn`t exist. Only with Spyro 1....strange...

Oh god THANK YOU! I limited it to 84 (was like over 300 before) and now it runs perfect!! No more running on place and also the sliding at stop is gone! You are the best! Whole different feeling to play

This game natively supports DS4? I'm not using any third party apps other than Steam itself, but it won't recognize my PS4 controller...
