Tree Tops IMPOSSIBLE SUPER CHARGE JUMP?
What am I doing wrong here? I've been stuck here for an hour. On the rare occasion the game arbitrarily decides I make the first jump, I can't get the subsequent jumps to get to the far-left platform.

Yes, I've locked my FPS to 30. I've tried with both Vsync on and off.

EDIT: After many attempts I decided to yolo it and pressed the jump button after I was already in the air. To my surprise, it registered as a jump! Reminds me of Donkey Kong Country Returns' jump physics where you can jump in the air if it's maybe 20 frames after you've already left the ground.

I didn't know this was a thing in this game. My jumps became MUCH higher and I beat this on my first try after learning that.

It seems no one's aware of this, otherwise I'd have been suggested it in this thread.

Glad to hear that you got through now!

This sequence is also probably the most difficult jump in the entire first Spyro game, so from here on out, jumps shouldn't trouble you any more. :)

Yes, but since you are that close to make it, maybe that helps you arrive. But I'm not sure, I haven't arrived there yet.

Yes, but since you are that close to make it, maybe that helps you arrive. But I'm not sure, I haven't arrived there yet.

If I cancel my super charge I won't be able to make it to the end.

How is this supposed to help me? I know what I'm supposed to do, the game just doesn't seem to work.

Maybe not in the middle of the jump, but near the end. Try some.

I know it's silly but you are manually jumping, right? Not just using your momentum.

I did that yesterday with 100 fps and had no issues. Not sure what the problem could be.

I just started with super charge jumps, but I have done that and it worked for me. But as I said, I haven't arrive to that part of the gameyet, so idk for sure. Worth the try I think!

Your video doesn't run for me, so I can't tell what's the problem exactly. But the jump is difficult and requires several attempts even if you're doing everything right. In my first three attempts, I always bumped my head on the ledge of the target island, I couldn't get high enough. In the fourth attempt, I suddenly started the glide considerably higher than before - I could actually glide to the middle of the island.

Make sure that you're on double-supercharge, jump from the farthest point of the final ramp, and switch to gliding on the highest point of your jump. Expect to have to try several times until your timing is right.

Strange that my vid doesn't work. Is YouTube restricted in your country?

I can't even consistently make the first jump, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I got it working now. My script blocker suddenly didn't like embedded Youtube videos any more.

Weird indeed. That isn't actually the difficult jump that I was thinking about, this one _should_ be easy.

It _should_ work without switching to glide mode. Weird.
