Save bug in Ripto's Rage - Can't swim or climb anymore so stuck in Summer Forest

Have read a few reports of save isues, but this one seems different.

I played a few hours of Ripto's Rage last week, got to world 2. Today I loaded it up again and was in Glimmer. I thought that was weird but played on. Then I realised I couldn't climb anymore, and then I realised I can't swim underwater anymore.

The guidebook tells me I have 15 orbs, which is about right for where I was before, but shows that I've only been to glimmer and won't let me fast travel anywhere else. Because I can't swim underwater, I'm trapped in Summer Forest. Money bags isn't there.

I had steam cloud on - I've just turned it off and it hasn't made a difference.

Happy to start again if I need to - just wanna work out why this happened so it doesn't happen again.

Running Ryzen 2600 (not OC), 16gb ram, GTX 1060 6gb, and game running from SSD

Any help appreciated!

Keep steam cloud turned off for your sanity. If you need help getting through the parts where you need to climb and swim again just input the cheat code to have those abilities. It's circle, circle, circle, circle, square. Not that hard. Just translate those button presses into whatever you're using.

I don't think these cheats work in reignited

They're not there anymore? But they were part of the Spyro 2 cheat codes.

Wait, are the cheats used across all chapters?

Just got this bug as well :( I think I last saved in Glimmer before I got this bug, so maybe avoid saving there I guess...

did anyone ever work out a solution to this bug apart from just starting again? Still not gone back to Ripto's Rage and am just stuck on 26% with no way or progressing without starting again.

I'm dealing with this now too. This is insane, how do you sell a game that is essentially half finished? If there's a way to hack it to unlock all the abilities that would at least let you progress.

yeah I don't think there's any way to do that. I just started again in end, so frustrating

I have a save issue too. Last night I made it to Autumn Plains on Spyro 2 and when I went to play earlier it somehow didn't autosave.

Same issue..................................... this sucks, i dont have a solution either. This is frustrating.
