iVRy Driver for SteamVR

iVRy Driver for SteamVR

PSVR2 controllers detection
I’m posting this here as it may help somebody else, but feel free to move it if it’s not appropriate.

I was playing around with the settings and I disabled/enabled an option, I think either in HMD or Tracking, that said something about Default Controllers.

This made it so the controllers aren’t detected by SteamVR. Unfortunately I can’t access the iVry settings UI in SteamVR without controllers to re-enable / disable it, and I can’t seem to load the iVry settings window outside SteamVR.

I tried resetsettings.exe, uninstalling iVry, uninstalling iVry + SteamVR, deleting the OpenVR and SteamVR config and appdata files per iVry instructions. They haven’t returned yet, but they’re detected by other drivers.

There must be another config file somewhere that I can’t find.

Any idea ? If it’s not obvious I’ll submit a support email with the requested files.

Thanks.

I connect my psvr2 controllers to the vision pro and that seems to work. There is an info button in the visionOS app. There it says we should connect the controllers to vision pro directly and not to the pc.

If you disable the default controllers, you can't use them to reenable the controllers, that is a logical consequence. That setting is to allow (for example) Index controllers to be used without hand tracking or Vision OS controllers registering as (extra) controllers.

You can access the iVRy settings from the notification that shows in Windows when you start SteamVR or via the Windows system tray while SteamVR is running, and enable them there.
Thanks !

I’m not surprised that disabling the controllers disables them but I couldn’t figure out a way to bring them back.

I Hadn’t noticed the tray icon.

I did notice though that light tower tracking was an option in the settings. Does that mean that Index controllers and Base Stations would work with iVry without Space Calibrator ?

Not that I don’t like the sense controllers, but it could be an interesting alternative if that’s the case and avoids the extra step. What bothers me most about VisionPro and PSVR2 integration is how often I have to go back to the VisionOS env to reconnect the controllers.

Same question for other trackers like Vive / Tundra Labs trackers. Does it work with lighthouse based trackers and/or dongle based trackers ? Does it still require Vive Hub ?

Sorry for all the questions. I’m trying to test every possible configuration.

At the moment, using Index controllers needs something like Space Calibrator. Once the app/driver is out of beta, I'll start adding features. Using non-VisionOS tracked controllers, synced with hand-tracking is high up on the "todo" list.

If you're using trackers, and you put one on the headset (and set tracking to "Lighthouse" in iVRy settings), then you can forgo Space Calibrator, as the driver will use the headset tracker for tracking.

BTW, assuming you're referring to the Sense controllers disconnecting when you haven't used them for a bit, you can reconnect them by pressing the "Playstation" button. They will reconnect to VisionOS, and be usable by the iVRy software (even if you are in the midst of using it).
