I played with a really old R7 370 4GB graphics card at max settings 1080p capped to 60fps and didn't have any issues with the game.

The forest was cited by the port dev to be intentionally locked to 60fps because of how the game engine renders things and how much is required to be loaded there. It's the only segment of the game that is forced locked to 60fps or less. Everything else is uncapped if you wish it to be.

ok thanks im fine with 60fps
This happens, if people use 4-8 msaa anti-aliasing and their pc can`t handle it in some zones. If you encounter fps drops in this parts try to lover it. I use 10 years old pc, with 2 cores and 4 gb ram with 660gtx and game runs fine on mid-hight settings.

I don't know which forest you speak of, maybe I'm not there yet. But I've had a constant 120fps (I've capped it) on 1440p and I've played the game for some 110+ hours. I'm not playing on max graphics though, high preset worked fine (ie: 120 fps) but it turns my computer into an oven and it is already so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ warm now so it is not something I want to have next to me. Maybe if it was winter. So I lowered it down to console preset, albeit with 120fps / 1440p, which is not very demanding of my computer.

The only problem I've had with the game was 1 crash and arts graphics effects occasionally disappearing in combat: https://steamcommunity.com/app/991270/discussions/1/2145343189634639153/

Used a GTX 950. No issues.

970 should be able to run at high settings (close to maximum, with a few features at "high" instead of "max").

Those shadow-related features can crunch those mid-tier GPUs. Even latest high-end GPUs may have a problem if you set shadow features to highest and also maximize the rendering range. Framerate will drop in some forest maps full of grasses & leaves.
