Forced TAA is 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Forcing TAA, the literal WORST antialiasing method, is beyond abhorrent. Not a good first impression, Avalanche.

It is forced. If you attempt to disable AA entirely, the only option you have is TAA Low. Furthermore, the very nature of TAA is to embed itself into the renders of lighting, shadows, hair and particle effects, etc. DLSS will override and disable TAA, but it is rarely a better option in terms of removing blur. For performance, DLSS is king for sure. Regardless, they both cause a blurring effect and sharpening it will only make the world space look like a weird oil painting.

My issue is not the other available AA options: my ire is drawn to the inability to natively disable AA entirely. Many thanks to Mach1, however, for providing an .ini file edit solution! I will test this now.
I didn't say DLSS, I said DLAA. DLAA does NOT cause any blurring nor sharpening.

I am aware. I only mentioned DLSS because my ADHD brain refuses to provide context when it should XD I mentioned DLSS because I was doing research on what happens when it's enabled; it overrides and disables TAA by default. I will try DLAA and see if there's a major improvement :3
I noticed the blur as I watched my wife play. What about Nvidia sharpness with DLSS 2.0? I will try that. Works great at 32:9 though.

The sharpening won't solve the issue, unfortunately. It will also make everything look like a strange oil painting if maxed out (100%). DLSS, like TAA, blurs the image when the camera moves. From what I have read about DLAA, however, it supposedly keeps the original resolution while providing a clear AA method so I will try that and see if my eyes can handle it XD

Upon testing, DLAA makes everything look... soft, fuzzy. Not as blurry as TAA but certainly poorer image quality than DLSS. Man, I miss MSAA :l

It is not poorer than DLSS. DLSS lowers the resolution. DLAA does not.

Strange. Perhaps I need to add some severe sharpening to it then

TAA isn't bad if you play at 4k. You could also use FSR2 or DLSS
you can choose Nvidia DASS or Nvidia DLASS or others to disable TAA

Just turn on DLAA.

you are not understand , it is forced , there are only two options low or high , with no way to turn it off.

Higher resolutions its not as noticeable

Just use Nvidia DLAA if not using DLSS.

you need to edit the Engine.ini file to tweak the TAA settings to make it look better.

refer to this post i made

in your case i think just copy paste the option 3 where i tell you to, save and dont't forget to put read only.

game will just look much better at no framerate cost. it just tweak the TAA algorithm and add various optimization tweak for the unreal engine.

less blurr, much less ghosting, some tonemapping, some sharpening. and tada. suddenly game looks good.

why devs dont optimize their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ TAA is beyond me when anyone can tweak an ini file in 5min.
