Battle BUG?
I'm not sure if this is a bug. The crew members had both cocoons and jet monsters in their line of sight. I manually ordered them to attack the jet monsters, but they ignored my command and chose to attack the cocoons instead.

yeah there's probably a dozen gremlin issues, not easily reproducible because we don't know what triggers them. like a bunk suddenly becoming unusable for some reason. you start spotting crew sleeping in doorways. like, hey dummy there's empty bunk right there!

so you draft the crew on the floor and try to send him to bed, but, nope, you can't, turns to a shoot-this icon... ???? what the ??

so you move the bed, anywhere, let em dismantle and rebuild it, then move it back, and hey look at that, it's a usable bunk again. no idea why. just happens once in a while.

but if you compare two save files? the ship layout section will be identical, it's still a bed, just won't act like a bed. so reloading or restarting usually corrects it, cause whatever happened in memory while playing doesn't happen while the save is being parsed and recreating your game.

my guess is it's something like that. but if it keeps happening? the more information you can provide the better the success chance of gremlin-hunting our resident programmer has finding it. so take notes if if does! :-)

guess they recogniced it as a siren world halucination, because there are no "jet-monsters" in this game.
chinese translation issue? probably means haulers, since he said cocoons...myguess is he means both bots and aliens were present, cocoons are haulers and jet monsters are chimps, and he targeted the chimp, but it shot the hauler... but that's a guess...

but this doesn't happen normally. you sire where you right-click and pick the crosshair icon, even if it's out in space in the middle of nowhere or an empty tile or just a wall or door, that's where you fire. right-clicking on an enemy just adds tracking to it so they'll re-aim again if it moves.

reload, see if it picks the wrong target again, if it does, then maybe exit game and restart, if it still shoots the wrong target? you should report that here as a bug report properly, or press F11 after loading and explain how to cause it to happen, so they can check your save for you.
That's translation issue. "cocoon" means Alien Hive Core and "jet monster" means Hauler. So I right-click at the Hauler and choose Attack but the crew members glanced at the Hauler and then attack Alien Hive Core. This kind of thing doesn't happen very often, and sometimes only one of the four crew members has this problem.
By the way, sometimes the crew member's green attack bar is fully charged, but they are unable to shoot. This issue can be resolved by reloading the game.
