Spacesuit doors blocking gas even when open
I've got an area on the ship full of CO2 with the only entrance being a Spacesuit door. However, even when I set the door to forced Open, the CO2 doesn't seem to be shifting, even with a gas scrubber set up outside the CO2 room. Obviously I can fix it easily if I want, but I'm curious on the functionality.

So do Spacesuit doors completely block atmospheric transfer even if they are set to open?

Thanks

No. But the the gas spread is abysmally low. Or at least used to be when i tested.

Your best option to test is to build a smaller ship, or make an extension of the ship, either works.
Just save before.
Now make two rooms of this area so place a space suit door in the middle and walls.
Now place on one side an O2 generator. And nothing on the other. (Since you will need to access, i would place the airlock along with the O2 generator in the same room.)
Once the room with the O2 generator is adequately high with O2, open the space suit door.
Use the overlay to watch how fast O2 spreads.
Gotcha. Thanks.
Yeah, pretty sure there is no air transfer through an airlock. I tried to evacuate all the air through an open airlock into space. The corridor went to vacuum but the room past the internal airlock (set to "open") did not.

I suggest you use the air vent from the life support tab near your airlock so at least you can open the vent if you want transfer for some reason. Or use a regular door, normally locked closed.
there is zero gas transfer with this doortype, thast the whole point. look in the overlays and you will see that this doortype is handled as a massive wall, no shutter on them in overlay to allow or block airflow too, unlike normal doors or airvents.
the option with the 3 door states on them is just a relic from when then game was made. now only blocked and passable are the only 2 stats that matter on them.

The i remembered wrong. My bad!
Yep, airlock doors are simlly bad programmed. The three modes have ni difference. They block gas pasage. That is why I allways build two vents near those doors as the airlock eitherways for some weird reason blocks areas next to the door even though the system protrudes outwards, not into the sidewalls.
The vents is a good idea, thanks folks. Now I can have my cake and eat it.
There's no gas transfer. You can use it to emergency vent oxygen into space, if there's an out of control fire.

You can build vents into the walls.

If you have a gas buildup, you can just bulid a scrubber.

The no gas transfer ends up being a hassle, because you end up with oxygen deprived areas of the ship. My ship supposedly only needs 1.1 oxygen generators, but I have 4 times that.

I could probably change the airlock doors to regular doors, and get rid of two oxygen generators.

The issue is not about ship airlocks but about the interior airlock doors, aka passable suit-ups = they are not useable for venting.
