"Retrieve Item of Interest" Question

Hi, I took over the derelict. The item is in my shuttle and now i have no clue how to hand it over. Only option i see is to transfer the item to my ship. How do i transfer it to the mission station?

After you accepted the mission the item is automaticly set to transfer to the mission station. After your shuttle unloaded your items from it's hold to your ship it will go to the mission station and unload the item(s) for the quest.

Retrieve item of interest.

When you get this mission there is usually an item(or more) that a certain faction wants.
What happens is that after you clear out the derelict your crew members will load up the shuttle with all the stuff found (if you are lucky the items being loaded up first) and then the shuttle AUTOMATICALLY WILL SET COURSE for the faction ship and hand the stuff over.

Thanks for the replies. I somehow messed up the automatic delivery, but it worked on the second try.

You can mess it up with manually stopping the shuttle, or if you have certain build orders or facilities that use that item. (Like in case of medical supplies the good old fashioned pills:P)

I had this exact issue. I thought I was supposed to pick up the items in question and move them over myself, which interrupted the process and so now they're stuck on my ship. I thought I might be able to trade them over to the target ship, but that doesn't complete the mission.

When I do those kind of missions now... as soon as the 'combat' portion is finished. Undraft everyone plus the shuttle, and then click on the salvage, and select the expedite (but don't select anything for salvage). If you look at the 'items' tab.. you'll see that the mission items are already selected. Now just go about your business.

Once you get the mission complete notification, then you can start salvaging the derelict and transfer the remaining items there.
