Lemonhope question

FINALLY got Lemonhope. So just two questions about how he works.
1. If I choose his second target as the first target, does that work? I feel like I selected Supermonkey as the first target, and then selected him again for the second target, so does that mean the boost happens twice?
2. If I choose Supermonkey with my first Lemonhope, can I choose him again with a second, third, fourth, etc. Lemonhope? Effectively having TONS of boost all on Supermonkey? I feel like I just did that with my second Lemonhope, so is the effect actually happening? Or am I wasting my Lemonhopes?

1. No. Lemon Hope can only buff once.
2. No, Lemon Hope buff can only be applied once.

Lemon Hope is god tier so have as many as you can and just use them on every character + ally and behold the power of his autism.

Ah okay cool thanks for the clarification. They really shouldn't allow the player to select the same char, if it's not doing anything, lol. Good to know though so I can work around all the bad programming.
