Add stone to auto-mining?

Is there a way to add different stone to the auto-mine vein designation? I'm trying to mine out cobaltite for it's color but am tired of clicking.

Not yet. I'm pretty sure that's a feature of DFHack, but it won't be ready for a couple of months. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember doing the same thing with non-economic stone.

This would be a nice option.

But for now I just strip mine Z levels for the colored stone I'm after.

Branch mining is key. Hit a level and just run a tunnel north and south, then branch off east and west every three tiles so you don't miss exposing any gems or ore. Go build stuff while the miners do the exploring, and then just region select the stones you like for strip-mining when they're done. Until you get past the second cavern you aren't really risking much by digging 4-5 levels deeper at a time just to get a feel for what's there.

Is there still no way to automine a rock like pyrolusite, DFHack or otherwise? I really like this feature for gems and it works perfectly but just need it for pyrolusite because my king is obsessed with it.
