Zoom on world map?

Hi the world map, the one where you go for launching raids, missions and stuff, is really zoomed out and I can't really make out anything. How do you zoom in on this map?

Similar question;
I took the defaults and tutorial start for my first steam fort.
I can tell that my embark crosses at least one biome border, but would like to see the specifics of my bimoe layout, cannot find any way to do that on a running fort, am I out of luck as well?

Yeah I tried doing [ or ] and nothing happened. I don't have a mouse and I thought it was maybe restricted to mouse wheel? I thought Toady was talking about how you can zoom in really far on this screen in one of the dev updates...

Just checked: The mouse wheel doesn't do anything in the world map.

I am using 4k, The world map is very tiny and there is no way to zoom in.

This is not usable and needs to be fixed.

I'm sure they'll make it zoomable like the embark screen at some point.

quick fix is to change your system resolution to 1080p, it maps the map readable and you can actually see the sprites (not to mention massive fps boost).

I found it much easier to use Lossless Scaling, a non-game app on Steam. Set DF to windowed 1080p, run that app, twiddle with the settings a tiny bit, done.
