Unfortinately I'm reluctant to hit "Restore Defaults" because I'm left-handed and having all
keys that I probably redefined changed back to right handed would be close to just as bad as I'm not going to play the game without left-handed controls. I only spent a few minutes within the 2-week/2-hours period and it was probably to make sure most the key worked. I guess I should have been more thorough.
I checked at home, after changing the E key to 9 it works.
The default E key is also responsible for other actions. Interrogating the enemy and changing the scope of the scope.
Really wanted a game that was more fun and less realistic abiet future-tech realistic.
Hold your breath might make a difference in real life (abiet not so much when prone with your weight on your arms) but having to pointless push a button to be "more realistic" isn't a bad uninsightful uninspired game design IMO.
But still, might play it. We'll see. Thanks again.
The Borderlands franchise is great (but already played or playing that.)
I loved older versions of Resident Evil and Dead Rising on the Wii where the controller is very intuitive and sometimes even VR-like, but despite "not having too many buttons" I can't deal with the controller - more specifically how look direction on the right hand (my "bad hand') is ovrely sensitive and I always end up lookup at the sky or ground just because I'm trying to turn left or right.
On the Wii the two joysticks are seperate and can into either hand. I really hate that Nintendo just decide to shutdown the network on it and that nothing else will use it's controller. Although it's not great for a PC in that you can't sit too close to the sensor bar for it to work unless games don't rely on that feature.) The sensor bar and real-life IR laser let you litterally point-and-shoot just like a read gun. (But ussually without having to worry about the wind, distance-drop and having to hold your breath.)
BTW... I found the idea of setting the scope for distance to be pretty bizzare. The scope is sci-fi level of intelegent and should be able to just adjust for the distance and wind for you since it senses both and obviously even knows where the target is. (Well, I guess it's the binoculars that do some of that but the two obviously ought to be better intergrated.)
