40k theater is a massive disappointment.

I just grinded to get 40k shinies to get into the theater.

In the original game, the theater shows a slideshow of 30 or so bits of concept art, early development, or cut content.

In rehydrated, it just shows literally TEN screenshots of in game scenes, with a crappy filter over them.

I've really enjoyed this remaster so far, but this and the mr krabs change are just outrageous

I agree the theater is disappointing but they didn't change anything with Mr. Krabs. It's the same voice actor from the PS2 version.

Yeah I just unlocked it out of obligation because it was the last bit of content to "experience." Honestly they could've sold out and put the new movie's trailer in the theater and I would've been happier. I actually thought they had like 4 horrible screenshots in there, 10 sounds generous.

im not talking about his voice actor, im pretty sure they tripled the costs of each spatula. I played the original xbox version

Right? I just unlocked it and was pretty disappointed. I was hoping to see the old concept art + some remaster pieces. Instead it really feels like they just forgot to add slides to the theater and last minute put in a few beta screenshots going "this'll do"

Yep you have to go to goo lagoon and farm about 3100 shinies a minute until you have either 78k or 90k shinies just for mr krabs

Yeah because they weren't allowed to record new dialogue. That was part of their agreement with Nickelodeon.

I really thought I had missed something when going there or my game was glitched. At first I thought one of the remaining socks was in there, but now after 100%the game I checked online and wow. Why even have an entry fee? May as well just let the player enter free after completing the game.

Are you sure they weren't allowed to record new dialogue? I swear a couple voice lines were re-done. I played the original SOOOO much, and I'm pretty sure I heard a couple new lines during normal gameplay (not cutscene dialogue). Like Spongebob saying "Spongebob to mission control. The launch is a-go" sometimes when using the cruse bubble.

I'm pretty sure its new. It is much clearer than the old version, and i can actually tell what Tom Kenny was saying without the weird radio noise effect of the original audio.

Maybe they could only add new dialogue to non-cutscenes.
