Spiders Attack Through Field Station
Don't really appreciate spiders being able to attack through the walls and into the field stations.

Is this the first Unity engine game you've played? Clipping through supposedly-solid objects is an issue in every single Unity game ever created. :steamsad:

Grounded uses Unreal Engine 4.

in other news, they don't seem to attack through soda can walls lol

I got attacked by Orb Weaver Jrs when I jumped into the can near the bicycle wheel on the way to the shed. I thought I would be safe, but they sensed me and one attacked me from under the can. It didn't phase through the can completely and remained stuck while I beat on it. Then the other Jr attacked me the same way, and I guess the ruckus got the attention of mama Orb Weaver and she bit me once through the side of the can. I thought I was safe in there, but when that all went down, I booked it out of there and jumped onto the bike wheel to get to the shed. I don't hide in cans anymore. I do hope all of this gets fixed at some point because it would be nice to know you can rely on the safety of these hidey-holes around the yard.

Walls are barriers to prevent their movement, not their attacks. Even then that's not even a guarantee. I've had a wolf spider phase right through my pallisade walls. It was a memorable moment. lol

Sucks I know, but it is what it is. I doubt that will ever change honestly.

A memorable brown pants moment for sure, just had my own a few minutes ago when I discovered the wolf spider can now leap up on to raised surfaces.

Enjoy those moments while you can, because there will be a point in the game where wolf spiders will feel like pushovers. You'll see one and be like "where you going butt munch, I need those fangs for crafting!".

I've been hit by a wolf spider through a pallisade wall. I don't think walls are intended to prevent *everything* from going through, just to stop movement and give you breathing room.

And yes, think this is kinda silly, being able to get hit through 'solid' objects, but here we are...

Their hitbox to the attack is just that large. Don't use the field station against hostile bugs---you'll just trap yourself. Use it as a platform to bait around.

I have noticed this more common after update 1.02 not sure why but yes they for sure do attack through the can, but breaking that line of sight in the can still works for them to forget about you.

Don't start over, build around and on top of the can...now you have a dungeon with a spider in it.

Feed it and try to bond with the spider this could be the start of your arachnid army.
