And Fortnite does look better than grounded but i get your point.
There's a lot of assets in the screen at a time in this game than Fortnite,im just surprised to see the game run on 1 fps even on the character pick menu which tbh should not require a lot of load tbh
A cry engine game runs better I'm just shocked to a ue4 game perform so badly.
the worst I had was slight frame drop when spawning into a new game for the first time but thats just everything loading. I have everything maxed out and use mods and reshade and still get a flawless 60fps. I think its optimized pretty well in my opinion
This is my current configuration with the best balance between performance and quality
In the "GameUserSettings" file modify these values:
[ScalabilityGroups]
sg.ResolutionQuality=85.000000
sg.ViewDistanceQuality=1
sg.AntiAliasingQuality=1
sg.ShadowQuality=1
sg.PostProcessQuality=1
sg.TextureQuality=3
sg.EffectsQuality=2
sg.FoliageQuality=1
sg.ShadingQuality=0
...
FPSLimit=Sixty
...
bUseVSync=False
...
FramerateLimit=60.000000
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the "Engine" file add this at the end:
[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0
r.BloomQuality=0
r.LightShaftQuality=0
r.MaxAnisotropy=4
r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=-1
foliage.LODDistanceScale=1
This is how the graphics look with this configuration:

Now if you want to get even more FPS in exchange for considerable quality you can change the foliage.LODDistanceScale=1 to 0. In that case the frames will increase a lot, however the vegetation will only appear when you are very close. I believe it's worth it if your PC has extremely low FPS even with all the modifications mentioned above.
And this is how the graphics look with foliage.LODDistanceScale=0:

[OLD]
I found where I could customize the graphics settings:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Maine\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
I edited the settings according to what I wanted in the 'GameUserSettings.ini' file and now the game is running much better than any preset settings.
Put sg.AntiAliasingQuality=0, sg.ShadingQuality=0, sg.PostProcessQuality=0 and the performance will improve a lot.
Mine is running much better like this:
sg.ResolutionQuality=80.000000
sg.ViewDistanceQuality=1
sg.AntiAliasingQuality=0
sg.ShadowQuality=1
sg.PostProcessQuality=1
sg.TextureQuality=3
sg.EffectsQuality=2
sg.FoliageQuality=1
sg.ShadingQuality=0
...
FPSLimit=Sixty
...
bUseVSync=False
And I also did it:

Also you might have to white list the game for anti-virus SW.
Looks interesting

You computer is on the edge of being unable to play newer games like this, the gfx card could do some fps but it's still just on the edge.
720p on lowest settings is all you may muster on most new games now if at all with decent 30+ fps. Only option at this point in probably upgrading but the current market has you blackholed to the 2nd hand if you want anything decently priced.
my frames went from 1 to 30
have to think why these option were not in game
plus i think this game is using teselation as well now if i could turn that off
They allready know about this issue and from what i know they working on it.
You can see my rig on my profile.
