Opinion on new update?
Legends is pretty cool. Hope it doesnt die immediately like that other Legends game (you know, the other popular game who has a game called Legends). I might actually buy the dlc because it seems really cool.

Its extremely unbalanced and unfair sometimes. Like, needing to deal with camo leads like 4 waves in when fighting phaze, but never being offered anything that could deal with them. Lost a run at the boss because of that, not fun.

I think they need to stop giving you so many towers that already have one level in two tiers. It makes it impossible to react to some things, like needing camo detection on leads or purples, and then you just lose and there's nothing you can do about it.

It's like the roguelite mod but more fleshed out. In fact, I think the modder who made that was hired to help work on the DLC.

thats kinda how a rouge-like works, you had many opportunity's to get a camo lead tower before you faced the boss & even if you didnt get an option for one, thats where you should of realised you had none & re-rolled one of the last few powers before the boss till you got one. Also who you pick for hero also matters, If you picked Benjamin then its on you for picking a greedy build rather then defensive.

No, it'll sometimes spawn you on a weird map where 70% of it is locked off, and you only have like 4 or 5 nodes before the boss.

thats still 4 or 5 nodes to get a camo lead tower which should be a high priority regardless if its Legends or not & considering how many towers do have a form of Camo Lead, even a Dart Monkey, should of picked a better hero or rerolled for what you needed.
not fun, until they rebalance for more casual player...

not good, still loads of network connection problems, getting tired of seeing a 30 second countdown and the game not being smart about the fact or sitting on a 5 second countdown screen with the number not actually reducing resulting in my game completely locked up with the only option to alt f4 or sit it out until the game fails again. corrupted lobbies with no map image need addressing as well.

The list just goes on and on.

None of the updates have come close to addressing the obvious, so until they do every patch in my eyes is going to be bad.

So far it's pretty fun, the new legends mode. But I don't understand why there's no option to continue on the map after beating a tile on the campaign. There's only "Home" which sends you back to the main menu, or "Check" (or whatever it's called) that just looks at the current tile you just won.

As stated previously, it will need at least some re -balancing which isn't surprising. Some of the rolls are really rough and can make for repetitive choices. I have a mage on my team and it's the cheapest camo lead tower I have so I drop that, then try to get something else that can take care of the purples. turns into the same strategy over and over until you get another tower that can relieve the mage from that roll.

Using towers differently than you usually do is kinda the point, but with how long the campaign can be, and how the RNG works, can leave you feeling like your'e stuck with only one or two choices. That or re-rolling at every chance to get another tower.

I think as they get more artifacts they can make for more interesting choices and builds, but do not be surprised if you get it and feel like it's unbalanced.

It's otherwise fun. I like that the waves aren't the same as the standard rounds you'd play, and I enjoy getting different monkeys to use than my standard. Though I hate it when I get a race tile and I don't have a monkey with good pierce. I always enjoy the races... but a low level heli ain't gonna cut it.

Rewards are nil.
Boosts are under powered as are Artifacts.
Game play is slow and drudging and much too long.

It's feels like a Chore more than a Game.

My issue is that you have no money, even with ben getting enough money in the short amount of rounds is impossible I have no idea why they offer t5 that are $50,000 when you can never afford it even on the boss.
Even on the stage 3 boss I only started with $23,000 that amount can't even afford the t3 heli.
Even if I'm offered a farm on my team I never really get the chance to use it because the rounds aren't long enough for farms to be profitable.
I feel like the best strategy is just to take the wiggly heli pilot perk as a starting relic and use it to carry you. overall they have a ton of balancing to do

Exactly. Too many of the towers come with the worst pairing available to the tower.

Its... yeah its a mess.

Its singleplayer CT (Contested Territory, i know, nobody plays that) meets rougelite except we don't understand the assignment and the runtime is 5-10x more than it should be, the result is something most people will try once and get bored of by the end.

It really isn't helping that there are no new maps for the mode...

Yeah, this is definitely a big problem. There needs to be some kind of upgrade like at the camp fire that reduces the cost of a tower. Mentoring them to improve them beyond t2 is just a waste, because you'll end up ruining yourself with too expensive stuff. I imagine later on it's fine, but the early game needs a lot of rebalance
