map editor:start a track in the middle?

Do i need a mod for it? And if so, what mod? Or is it just straight up impossible with the current version of the map editor?

...I'm trying to recreate mount magma from btd5, which has the bloons start in the middle of the map.


I''ll probably settle for hiding the initial run-up into the central swirl, but i'm not even quite certain how best to do that.

Was afraid of that. I've SEEN footage of tracks that were successfully started in the middle of the screen, but those may have been with a mod or an older version of the editor that allowed it.

If the former though, i'd still love to know which mod...

For now, i've settled for switching to three tracks instead of 4 and hiding the entrance section under a line of big rocks. Jank af, but it works. Sortof.

I'm pretty sure having a modded game means you can't share maps.

we need a map in the core game first to do that before we get that as an option, we do have a boss bloon that can make it happen however...

Indeed. it's not QUITE what i'm looking for, as mount magma does not end in the middle it starts in the middle :P

Well it would be the same if you set the game mode to reverse :P

Alright, where in this game's giant UI is the reverse button? I couldn't find THAT either.

Ah, that's where it is hiding, thanks. Specifically, it is ONLY available under MEDIUM in that menu.

As it so happens i'd only tried easy and hard from the user made/custom menu, and hadn't tried a lot of medium runs in general.


...what? i only got bloons 6 about a week ago, maybe 2, and i've had a lot of bad habits from 5 to unlearn :P

Yeah I liked reverse being an option instead of a separate gamemode. Cus you can't do reverse ABR or reverse CHIMPS for example, unless it's challenge editor.
